He was taking her onto a special evening tonight. She didn't know where and she didn't know what. But she knew she was happy.

"Kate!" Rick called from the Kitchen. "You ready?"

"Yea" I said walking in. I was wearing a jeans and a professional top. He was wearing something he usually wore to the precinct but he still looked very cute.

"You ready?" He asked.

Not really. "Yea". The reason she wasn't ready was because she had news. And she didn't know how to tell it to him. They started driving at first she didn't recognize where they were going, but later she knew exactly where he was taking her. He parked outside of the Old Haunt.

"Remember this place?"

"Yea, you own it Rick."
"No, I mean yea, I own it but do you remember anything about this place before I bought it?"

" You hit on me a lot during the case, and we tried to fool the bar tender into thinking we were a couple…" She trailed off.

"Ohhhhh, I see. This is the first place we became a (fake) 'couple'. Haha, very funny.

"Exactly that's why I brought you here." He exclaimed. " Now, next place."

We drove off to the precinct. We walked in not many people were there, and Ryan and Espo had already left too.

"Do you remember this place?"

"No, Rick, I have no idea what this place is." She said, with a LOT of sarcasm in this place.

"So do you know *WHY* I brought you her?"

She thought of everything that was related to them that happened in the precinct.

"This is where we both became partners." She replied. She kissed him softly on the lips. "Always" she whispered when she pulled away.

"OK, let's get a move on." He quickly said and they stepped onto the elevator. They stood in a comfortable silence. When they left he drove her to a bar she has never seen in her life. But when she walked in it hit her instantly!

"This is where we first met. Well actually met, met. I arrested you and then you started following me around."

"You made a writer speechless" was all he said. The rest of the night they went to places that had involved their moments. Until he took her to Central Park. They never had anything special here.

"I don't remember anything being special here." She said.

Turn around, and you will." She did as she was told. She turned around. Rick was on one knee and held the most beautiful ring she had ever seen. It was simple but stunning.

"Kate Beckett, you made me speechless since the day I met you… Will you marry me?"

"Yes, she gasped. He put the ring on her finger and she pulled him up with a kiss, she put her arms around his neck and hugged him, hiding her face in the crook of his neck.

"I'm pregnant." She whispered. And he pulled away.

"You are?" He was happy and stunned.

"Yea" she said. They walked around central park for the rest of the evening talking about nothing, and everything. And the rest they say was history.
