Disclaimer: I am only 16, I do not own HSM. Okay, do you get it? Good.
Sharpay's POV
"I hate him! I hate everything about him!" I yelled to my brother Ryan.
"Who do you hate Shar?"
"Zeke, who else?"
"Why do you hate him?" Ryan asked simply.
"I hate how he and his stupid basketball friends think they own the school. I hate how he always follows me. I hate his stupid smirk. I hate how he bakes. I hate how I have to look up to see him. I hate how he thinks that the drama club is a waste of time. I hate how he's obsessed with me." At this point I was sobbing. "I hate the ways his eyes sparkle when he talks to me. I hate the cookies he always makes for me. I hate how he always compliments me. I hate how I feel safe when he's near me. I hate his cute smile. I hate the way he dotes on me hand and foot. But you know what I hate most about him Ryan? I hate the fact that I can't really hate him at all, because it's hard to hate someone you're totally, desperately in love with."
I collapsed crying. Ryan, being the brother he is, took me into his arms and comforted me.
Zeke's POV
I forgot my biology book at school and I had to come back and get it. I grabbed it from my locker and was about to leave when I heard voices coming from the theater. One of them I immediately recognized as the voice of the girl I was in love with and assumed that the other was her brother. I didn't want to be nosy but I couldn't help but stop and listen. Wow, I knew Sharpay hated me but I didn't know she hated that much about me. I was about to leave when I heard her sobbing. I listened to the rest of her speech. So, she didn't hate me. Or did she? I'm confused! Wait, I think she saw me. I tried to hide in the shadows but I don't think it worked because she pushed Ryan away from her and ran. I ran down the steps and chased after her. I sent Ryan a look saying, "I got this."
I found her sitting on the steps outside. She looked up when she heard me coming.
"What are you doing here?" she asked tearfully.
"I wanted to see if you were okay."
"Do I look okay? I'm a complete mess!" She turned to me and I got a good look at her. Her mascara was running down her face and her make-up was speared. Overall I've never thought she's looked more beautiful.
I sat down next to her and pulled her into my arms. We sat there a while before she spoke again.
"Thanks."
"No problem," I answered.
"So, how much did you hear?" she asked.
"Enough," I said. I did something I've wanted to do since I'd I first laid eyes on her. I kissed her. And she didn't protest.
