I DON'T OWN DEATH NOTE!!!

Sakime Manami was bored. Bored, bored, bored, bored, bored.

Kira had risen from the under ground and started killing criminals two days after she got promoted to detective. Meaning she never got a chance to be a real cop. There were rarely any crimes and what crimes there were were handled by the older more experienced coworkers. Kira was gone now but the people were still pretty quiet.

Restlessly Manami started doodling on a piece of paper. First swirls, and then stars, and then random letters. After two minutes she found her self back in the mind-numbing pit of boredom. Staring of into the distance she looked over at the empty desk of Matsuda.

He was out getting Sweet Bean Buns for lunch.

They were fast friends and had agreed to split lunch between them. Today she had gone out to get the coffee and was waiting for him to get back.

She closed her eyes and imagined what he was doing right now. Probably helping an old woman across the street, She figured.

Manami flipped the paper on her desk from the messy side to the clean side and wrote his name on the top, "Touta Matsuda." Underneath which she scrawled reasons we love him. Of course by 'we' Manami she 'I'. She couldn't love Matsuda more if she tried. How every she couldn't work up the nerve to tell him. Practice in front of the mirror didn't help at all either. So she sat back quietly, just glad to be friends with him and a bit afraid of rejection.

She looked at the paper and didn't need to think on it very long, after all, there were a million reasons to love Matsuda.

He is always looking out for people.

Matsuda will always think of others before him self

Matsuda can cheer up any room

Matsuda always knows exactly what food you want when you're broke and hungry and then he goes out and buys it for you.

Matsuda is smart enough to know how to pick a lock but won't do it unless you left your keys inside.

Matsuda could make a wall crack up laughing

Matsuda always finds a way to make anyone trust him but has enough honor to never use this trust against you

Matsuda always remembers your birthday, even if you don't.

Matsuda puts food out for stray cats.

Matsuda is the onl-

"Man, It's really coming down hard, huh?"

Manami looked up suddenly aware of the fact that that cloudy weather had turned rainy while she was off in Wonderland.

"What 'cha got here?" Matsuda asked.

"Oh, Nothing." She replied quickly putting it up. Maybe she'd tell him one day. She looked at him smiling at her across her desk as he opened up a bag of Sweet Bean Buns. Soon.
