Darkness had already fallen over the forest, the grand Siberian pine trees silently standing guard over the land. The pale moon cast shadows across the ground, which was coated in a fresh blanket of snow, undisturbed by the footprints of the wildlife. Branches stirred in the faint breeze, their silhouettes flickering in the silver light. Powdery crystals floated silently to the ground, the only motion in the untouched wilderness.

Then, a rustling from behind the trees broke the stony silence. The snow crunched quietly under the approaching figure's feet. It was a man: he was fairly tall, and dressed warmly for the frigid temperature. Only his face could be seen, his sparkling blue eyes shifting around slowly. He peered into the darkness, waiting anxiously for something to move, hoping that the promise had been kept.

He smiled as another figure moved into a nearby clearing. It was a slender woman with hair as white as the falling snow, who was also bundled up in a furry parka. Her strides were long and graceful, resembling those of the mighty elk, who always moved with grace and dignity. She walked up to the man, coming within inches of him, scanning him with her seductive dark eyes.

"Leonidas" she whispered, her breath visible in the bitter air. Her arms slid around his waist, her fingers interlocking behind his back. He returned the embrace, enveloping her with his strong arms, the two lovers pressed together.

"Drew. I missed you so much" he replied, burying his face in her hair, which was sprinkled with snowflakes. A Russian accent could be heard in his voice, the woman's name rolling off his tongue as if it tasted of honey.

"Five years, rotting away in prison. Five years away from the woman I love, dreaming of you every night" Leonidas whispered, recounting the terrible events leading to their separation.

"Dreams… often become reality" Drew answered in a seductive tone, leaning forward, and placing her gloved hands on his muscular chest. Leonidas and Drew closed their eyes slowly as their lips joined. Each of them felt the heat of their breath meeting with the frosty air, creating a silver steam. Their lips tugged at each other passionately, their warm tongues contrasting the freezing cold of the Siberian winter. Not one bit of space could be found between them, the lovers sandwiched together, gripping each other tightly. The minutes crept by as the kiss continued; making it seem like the whole world had stopped spinning just for them.

Drew's eyes opened hesitantly, wishing that the moment would last forever.

"Leonidas? Where- do we go- from here?" she asked, her sentence broken as her lover pressed his lips against hers repeatedly.

"Anywhere we want. To the moon, the stars, any place in the universe. We'll see it all, my dear. Love knows no boundaries."
