I walked into the house after a long day at Stark Industries. I was exhausted, but was excited for date night after the last three had been interrupted by a disaster of some sorts. But upon spotting Tony, it looked like a fourth date night was on the chopping block.

"Tony! Why aren't you dressed?" I exclaimed.

"Sorry honey, there's a thing with Bruce in Russia. It's possible a biological weapon has fallen into the wrong hands attack."

"But Tony! It's date night," I protested.

"What can, I say, Pep?" Tony said. "Duty calls."

I huffed as he jogged down to the basement and watched as rocketed off the launch pad and faded into the sky to save the world.

I rolled my eyes. Couldn't the world wait until tomorrow to end? Date night was so rarely uninterrupted by something. I walked into the kitchen with a pout and started rummaging through the cabinets looking for something quick to fix for dinner.

"Miss Potts?" Jarvis' voice interrupted my thoughts.

"Yes, Jarvis?" I answered, not talking my eyes off our space cabinets.

"Mr. Stark has instructed me to tell you to look on your pillow."

I frowned, but abandoned my search for dinner and headed upstairs. I kicked off my heels, hoping they landed in the general vicinity of the closet, as I approached the bed. On my pillow was a small, square, back box with a red ribbon tied in a bow on top of an envelope. I cocked my head sideways to look at it as I picked it up. I opened the box to reveal a beautiful Pandora bracelet complete with eight charms and a mix of red, gold, and black beads. I sat the box down on my nightstand, opened the unmarked envelope and unfolded the paper. Grease stains on the edges of the paper made it apparent that the letter had been written down in the basement during one of Tony's late-night tinkering sessions.

Pep,

Normally, this is something I would make my assistant do…but in this case, that would be weird. I'm not great with words but I wanted to find a way to remind you how much you mean to me. So without further ado…

I know you don't wear a lot of jewelry, but I thought this bracelet would be classic piece that would go with most everything (at least that's what the sales associate told me). I'll confess I stole this from that Pandora commercial where the dude collects different charms representing different milestones in his relationship. But hey, marketing works.

Airplane - Because jet set around the world with me.

Best friend scroll - Since day one, you've been my best friend, my confidant, and my right hand woman.

Forget me knot - I don't know how you could forget such a handsome fellow like myself, but just incase you do…

Jack-o-lantern - Because every year you fall for the tricks Jarvis and I pull on you and it's hilarious.

Love letter - A reminder that I actually wrote you a love letter.

Silver heart- Proof that Tony Stark has a heart—and it's yours.

Stiletto dangle: Stilettos make your ass look great

House: I promise the next house will have your name on the lease...12 percent of the lease.

Red and gold beads - Because, Me. I AM IRON MAN

Black beads - Because you look so damn sexy in your little black dress (or in black lingerie…). I think you look beautiful in anything, but black is my favorite. So mysterious.

I love you.

- Tony Stark

A small tear slid down my cheek, meeting the corner of my lips that turned up in a smile. Maybe it wasn't eloquent, but it was perfect.

I slid the bracelet on my left wrist then sat down on the couch and looked out the window, patiently waiting for my hero to come home.
