Hi guys! This story may not be appealing to you because this story contains some religious views but I hope you will read this anyway! There might one more part to this story, perhaps more. I hope you enjoy!
Once upon a story there was a young man. This man was often told that he was special and he going to do great things one day. He went on a journey just to find out what this special thing was. He went into all the world. He went to every continent, forest, and country. He looked at every religion and tradition. He finally arrived into a country called England. He found a religion called Christianity. They worshiped a God who was proved to do great things. He became a member of Christianity and asked the God of the universe what he was destined to do. He again went into all the world and landed in Africa. He saw all the sorrow and depression of all the people there. At the time, there was something called the slave trade. He was asked to be the one to handle the people and sell them to the people hurting and injuring these blameless race of people. He refused and then decided to buy the "slaves" and give them a loving and caring home. He bought a farm very far from the market for the fear of being caught. He bought a woman who was name Merritt. She was terrified for she knew what was up ahead. They entered the house and he quickly explained what he was going to do. She was so ecstatic and realized she was safe with this man. The man told her that she had to work in the field but he would never hurt her. She agreed for she knew that they would experience unbearable pain if they were to be caught. The man showed Merritt to her room and then left to go buy more Africans. He bought a man and his name was Ayodele. He was strong and badly beaten. He also bought two children and their names were Jacob and Hope. Jacob was 10 and Hope was 8. They were siblings who were seperated for their parents. They were crying out for parents. This broke the man's heart. When the four of them arrived at the house the three African were utterly confused for they saw a woman who was very happy. Merritt could talk both English and the common African language so she was easily able to translate what the man said to her and told the children. She comforted the children for the horrible thing they experience. She decided that the kids would sleep in her room at night. When Merritt was talking to the children, the man told Ayodele what he was intending to do. Ayodele thanked the man and was so grateful that the man bought him. The man decided that he would save 90% of the crops to feed him and the four Africans. The other 10% he would sell to get seeds for the following spring.
Christmas was approaching and he brought everyone a gift. He gave Merritt a book, Hope a doll with her name on it, Jacob a play car set, and Ayodele money for when to salve trade was finally over. He loved his new family but the man still felt a void in his heart and decided that he would leave for two weeks to go back to England and find the thing to fill the void. He went back to his old church and met a woman named Mallori. He instantly fell in love and asked her to come to Africa with him. She accepted. When they came to the house, the four Africans greeted him at the door and they all gave him a hug. He introduced them to Mallori and they all greeted her warmly. The two children ran up to her and asked her so many question for they never saw a woman with white skin. She laughed and she knew she made the right choice to come with the man.
Ten years passed. At last the slave trade ended! Merritt and Ayodele got married and had two girls and named them Joy and Grace. They moved out of the farm and happily lived their lives. Hope and Jacob decided that they both would stay at the farm and stay there until they passed.
