She stepped into the water at Aerith's church, and blushed as Cloud poured the healing water on her. She was the last in, having let the children go first.
She felt a tingle, as the Geostigma dissolved, leaving her forever. She smiled, rare for her, but still it happened, causing Cloud to smile as well.
Neither would admit, but they both had been in love with each other since they had met.
Cloud got out of the water, and then pulled Xeir out after him.
Her long black hair clung to her back and face, hiding her bright green eyes from view.
She wrung out her hair as Cloud watched. And then she left, not speaking a word to him. After all, she believed he was in love with Tifa, and it hurt too much to be near him because of it.
A few days later, Xeir was at work, she worked for Tifa, at Seventh Heaven.
Work was slow, as no one was in for a drink other than Cid, so she pulled out a rag and began wiping down tables, unaware as Cloud walked in the door, stopped and watched her.
Cid wasn't so dense that he didn't notice, and chuckled as he waved Cloud over to sit with him.
"Get yer arse over here and have a drink." Cid commanded, and Cloud complied for once, sitting down at the table the older man was at.
"Xeir, bring Cloud a drink." Cid told her and she looked up, finally noticed the spiky haired man. Xeir nodded slowly, not taking her eyes off Cloud as she made her way over to the bar, and then bringing Cloud a beer.
Cloud nodded his thanks and took a drink.
"Aahh, Come on now. Tell her somethin'" Cid told the teen.
"Thanks." Cloud grunted out, to embarrassed to actually say something to her. Xeir nodded in response and went back to cleaning.
Soon, Cid paid for his drinks, then left, and she was alone with Cloud, who was slowly drinking his drink.
Every once in a while, when she wasn't looking, Cloud would sneak a glance at the other teen.
He had always admired her, she was strong and beautiful, and he knew he loved her, but he had always believed she had loved Sephiroth; which she had, until he left the SOLDIARS. And then she had met and fallen for Cloud.
After finishing his drink, and three others, Cloud had gained the magical confidence that alcohol gave people, and he made his way over to her, where she sat reading, since she had finished cleaning.
Xeir looked up and was greeted by Cloud's face right in front of her's, causing her to blush.
"Can I help you?" She asked calmly. She was answered with a kiss, passionate and sweet yet lasting only seconds.
And then he pulled away and left her dazed.
She smiled, deciding that this was the best job ever, as he walked out, after giving her his number.
