Captain Li Shang released his sword into the snow before Mulan. "A life for a life; my debt is repaid."

Mulan lifted her head.

"Move out!" The Captain demanded of his men.

"But you can't just..."

"I said move out," Li Shang spoke sternly to Chi-Fu.

"Captain," Mulan stood to her feet, wrapped in nothing more than a bandage and a blanket.

The Captain turned, furiously looking at the woman.

"Do not withhold that sword from me."

"Is that how you repay the me for saving your life after what you did?"

"What I did was risk my life to save my father's. And you are not saving my life by withholding your sword, you are prolonging my death by keeping me out here wounded in the cold with nothing more than a blanket."

"Hold your tongue, you are speaking with the Captain." Chi-Fu pointed a finger at Mulan in disrespect.

"You mean the same captain that I have been speaking to the whole time you believed I was a man? Why is it different now that you know otherwise?"

The soldiers looked around at each other but kept their silence.

"Tell me Captain, would you have spared my life if I had not saved yours? I survived the training and battle with the Huns just like the rest of your men!"

Li steamed with anger. He drew his sword. "What is it you want Mulan?" He asked pointing his sword at the woman.

"A fair match," Mulan reached for her sword buried in the snow.

The soldiers stood in shock.

"If I win, I join you at the parade. If you win, I leave and tell no one about these past couple of months." Mulan got into position.

"I am not going to fight a woman."

Mulan kicked Li Shang's sword out of his hand. He shuffled through the snow looking for his weapon.

"Why is Mulan different from Ping?"

The Captain picked himself up from the snow.

"As you wish. But I won't be going easy on you. Be prepared for bringing this secret to the grave."

Mulan squinted her eyes.

Li got into position.

The men stood watching through their fingers.

Chien-Po, Yao, and Ling secretly placed bets on the winner.

"I don't know, the Captain seems out of his head right now. And Ping...I mean Mulan, seems angry enough," Ling whispered to the others. "My vote is with Mulan."

"Mine too," agreed Chien-Po.

"The Captain is strong but Mulan is witty. What she did back there with the last cannon was genius. I vote Mulan," Yao added.

"We all voted Mulan, what does that mean for the bet?" inquired Chien-Po.

"If we all are correct, we buy ourselves a drink. If we are all wrong, we buy each other a drink," Ling suggested.

"Ling, either way everyone buys and gets a drink...works for me," Yao stated.

Mulan and Captain Li Shang swung their swords at each other; both blocking each swing from their opponent.

"Hey Li," Mulan looked the Captain in the face. "You fight like a girl!" And with that, Mulan sliced an "M" in Li Shang's shirt marking him with her triumph.

The soldiers cheered and whistled for Mulan and her victory.

"Congratulations Pin...Mulan. You deserve it." The Captain reached out his hand to Mulan.

"Thank you." Mulan bowed her head. "You were a worthy opponent."

Li Shang grinned.

SHUFFLE.

"Men...and woman...take cover," Li spoke in a hushed voice to his men.

Mulan and the Captain peeked from behind the curtains where they stayed hidden.

"The Huns! They are coming out from underneath the snow!" Captain Li Shang announced quietly.

Mulan looked at the Captain and drew her sword. "Let's finish this."
