a poem for alice in wonderland

Alice,

Young Alice,

Where did you go?

Falling down the rabbit hole,

World starts spinning, the light at the end of tunnel,

Grows closer.

Drink me!

The bottle says,

Eat me!

The cake says,

Soon your body begins to change.

I'm late,

Chase the white rabbit,

How curious.

You have tea with the hatter,

He is a mad fellow,

Everyone is mad here.

Speak with the caterpillar,

Blows rings with hookah,

Says you're not Alice,

Very curious.

He disappears until,

His smiles remains,

You saw the Cheshire cat,

A very mad fellow.

You ride into battle,

Before you go,

Caterpillar says that you are Alice.

Slay the Jabberwock,

With the vorpal Blade,

Red queen is banished.

The white queen,

She gains control,

Of her lost throne.

A celebration,

Wonderland is free again.

Losing consciousness,

As you are brought back,

To your own world
