The Doctor smiled, leaning on the console. She looked at her short-term companion, the woman with the red hair, filled to the brim with secrets. "Are you sure you want me to leave you here?"

"Yes." She said with determination. She grabbed her bags. "Thank you, love, for the ride. It's time for me to get off." She opened the door to see that they were in space. "Doctor… would you actually mind landing on a planet?"

"I want to know if you've really changed." The Doctor said. "I just can't let Rowena Macleod get off on another planet without discovering what happened."

"I faked my death to get a fresh start." Rowena said again.

"That's not all, is it? What about Crowley, and the Winchesters?"

"I don't know what happened to them." Rowena said. The Doctor turned one of the screens on to the Multiverse Database, looking at the page that she had memorized, with the big red letters, spelling 'DECEASED. May 18th, 2017'.

"They're probably fine." The Doctor said, her heart heavy. "No… no, I have to…"

"What?"

"Rowena, your son was declared dead. From what's known, he died saving your universe." The Doctor said. "I'm very sorry."

"He died believing I was dead." Rowena said. "Not that he cared."

"I think he did." The Doctor said, staring at the computer screen. She hated hearing about things she couldn't solve. "He had you taken off Hell's wanted list. He also took off the Winchesters, Ms. Kline, and Castiel. Now that the universe thinks you're deceased, you're no longer a fugitive, and you can go get your second chance."

"I know." Rowena said sadly. Sure, Crowley didn't love her, for a good reason, but even though she would never admit it, she had loved him. She had always tried to stop herself, but now, now that he would never know, she let a deep, shaky breath out and tried to recollect herself, go back to that cold place she was so familiar with.

The Doctor pulled a lever, and they landed. Rowena grabbed her bags. "Rowena, before you go- I found the best possible world for you I could find. Here, there's a strong magic community and you'll fit in well there. It's pretty much the same as Earth, since it's an alternate. There's no Lucifer here, and I've already been in contact with the locals and you've got a job offer at one of those fancy wizard schools."

"Thank you." Rowena said, smiling. "Out of everyone in this universe… I have to say that you are one of the kindest. I hope we'll see eachother again? If I ever do need to go back to my Earth? Or even if I just need a friend?"

"Just give me a call." The Doctor smiled. She watched as Rowena left the TARDIS into the brave new world that awaited her. The Doctor pulled the lever, the TARDIS flying into the vortex, onto the next adventure. She was still sad that she left Rowena so far from home, but that's what the witch had wanted. A second chance. And that's what she was going to get.
