Caliban Leandros + Niko Leandros

END

"Dammit!", Cal exclaimed, his Auphe-side taking shape. "These stupid memories keep getting in my way! You're MY food! Mine! No one else's!" Niko, whom was lying on the hard floor, sighed. "Your 'food', huh? Well, I guess that's alright..."

Cal stopped clutching his head to look at Niko, astonished. "W-Wha?"

Niko smiled at his surprised face. "We said we'd go out together, remember?"

"Nik..."

Niko just kept smiling at his brother as Cal moved closer, nails elongated and eyes blood red. Cal lifted Niko in his arms, cradling his head like an infant. "Well, Promise will be upset, but there is nothing I can do. I would die of elderly age, anyway. I am but a human, after all. I suppose as an old saying goes, I would rather 'go out with a bang'." Cal couldn't help but smile at the nonchalaunt way his brother shrugged off life. He held Niko's head firmer as his mouth began to water. Almost...

"Well. That's what I want anyway..." Niko looked Cal straight into his blood red eyes. "What do YOU want, Cal?" At first, Cal didn't have an answer. Then it came out in a strangled sob.

"I...I want things to go back to how they used to be!"

Niko smiled. "Yeah. So do I, little brother...", Niko said as he forced Cal's head to his throat. As hard as he tried, he couldn't resist this meal that had been placed before him. "Nik..."

Cal bit down hard on Niko's throat, busting his Jugular Artery.

When Cal's mouth was full of his brother's blood, he really started crying. 'No... Stop me Nik! Someone! Anyone, please STOP ME!', Cal screamed in his head.

A short knife pierced Cal's heart.

"N-Niko...", Cal whispered, ready to accept his fate. That's when a scream rang out.

Promise and Robin were looking on at their friends through what looked like a Gate. Promise had her mouth covered and tears running down her face. Robin had tears in his eyes, but refused to let them fall.

"No Cal, don't do it. Please don't kill Niko!", Promise exclaimed. Too late, thought Cal, tasting how much blood he's drank. "You don't understand. This was our decision. Just let us be...", Cal whispered. "Caliban, I'm sure there's a way out of this. Soon we can-" "LOOK AT ME!", Cal screamed, interupting Robin. He showed his friends his red eyes, sharp nails, and forming Auphe fangs. "I'm a monster! I'm becoming something I don't want! Besides, we're already long gone." He gave one final glance to his friends.

"Bye guys! It's been real!" And with a wave of his hand, Promise and Robin were gone. Cal wasn't good at good-byes anyway. "Now, where was I?", Cal asked, hungrier than ever. "Last I recall, you were destroying my vitals...not that I can feel pain at this point.", Niko said, his eyes getting duller. "I'm so sorry, Niko...", Cal whimpered. "If I wasn't like this, I-" "Would you hurry up?! This hurts." Cal laughed, despite the situation.

It was the first time he had ever heard Niko lie to him.
