Hare in a Cage
Eeeek! I can't wait to see my Crumple Horned Snorkacks Horn. It must compliment Daddy's Headdress beautifully. Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure! I love being in Ravenclaw. Blue is such a beautiful color, like the sky and the river. I really want to go fishing at Bottom's Bridge. Fresh water Plimpy Soup! Fresh water is so much better than saltwater-peep!
The train's piercing whistle and a slight jolt as the Express trundled forward broke my train of thought. Neville was stroking the leaves of his venomous tentacula as Ginny applied salve to the tenderest of his gashes. There was silence between them that other may interpret as awkward, was simply peaceful. Ginny was daydreaming too, her face revealed what it was about; Harry, that's all she thought about these days. Neville's expression was harder to decipher but I think he was memorizing counter curses.
I slipped on my special glasses and looked around for wrack spurts. Neville's head had exactly six, like it had since his sixth year. Ginny's count had increased a lot on the Summer Holidays; she'd probably spent too much time with Harry. Then I pulled out my Quibbler and read the Christmas Article about Nargles in Mistletoe. I didn't notice the pair of cloaked figures that apparated onto the train and stalked slowly through the carriages toward our compartment. Until they were right in front of it.
Ginny and Neville sprang to defend to defend me but before Ginny could cast her Bat Bogey Hex and Neville could strangle them with vines. I stopped them. They obviously wanted me. I gave my wand to Neville, kissed both of them on the cheek and smiled. 'Don't worry; I'll be back before you know it'.
And then I turned back to my captors and began to babble about Blibbering Humdingers. Then for some reason they stunned me.
