Muahaha, another Galaxy fic from your's truly. It's a drabblet, and I'm doing a lot of these lately...did one for Mother 3 and I just uploaded a Space Channel 5 one. Course, they're great for portraying small scenes and really bringing out certain messages and emotions in them.
So this is basically one to describe Mario through the eyes of someone who has never met, or even heard of the plumber. Rosalina! She hasn't been to the Mushroom Kingdom for 100 years, so she knows nothing about him until they team up to rescue the Power Stars and save Princess Peach. And she learns things about him in the smallest way.
One scene I really liked is when the Toad Brigade join the Comet Observatory, and Rosalina comments on Mario's name. I thought that was quite a sweet moment that could have had more to it, and that's what this drabblet stemmed from.
Note that although I've worded it, it's not a Mario/Rosalina fic. Writing about Mario couples isn't something I just see myself doing...I think it's because they give off a very different attitude then other series when it comes to couples.
Anyway, enough rambling! Here it is!
DISCLAIMER: I don't own Mario. All rights to Nintendo.
She examined the red capped plumber with her turquoise eyes. He was staring up at her with polite curiosity.
"Mario..." She whispered. "Your name is Mario, isn't it? That is what I heard from those friends of yours who have just arrived..."
He nodded, and she considered it for a moment. The plumber was unlike anyone she had ever met. He was kind and helpful, but also very determined. His eyes seemed innocent, but behind them, she could see the demeanor of one who never gave up, even when faced with the toughest of challenges. And when she had thanked him for saving the Grand Star and restoring power to the observatory...he merely smiled at her. It was a heart warming one that seemed to lift the spirits of anyone around him.
And his name...seemed to only prove the sort of person he was. Kind, always cheerful and fighting till the end...
"Mario...it has such a nice ring to it." Rosalina spoke, smiling.
And he smiled back at her. She liked that smile. A lot.
There! Hope ya liked it. Truth be told, I actually did this about a month ago, but never published it till now...just kinda forget about it. XD I'm pretty ashamed that happened.
Anyway, thanks for reading this! I appreciate it so much!
