Rose Weasley was sitting by the fire, trying to subside her sobs. How could she be so ignorant? Such an idiot! How could she not understand that her feelings were not only platonic? Why did she have to understand it so late? In such way? Why did she have to fall for Scorpius Malfoy? How could she face him now?

She was so deep in thought that she did not hear Scorpius entering the Common Room. He was elated and wanted to tell Rose about his relationship with Melani Hawkins. However, he came to a stop when he noticed the girl rocking back and forth in front of the fire.

He immediately run to her and tried to calm her down by taking her into his warm and welcoming arms. What he did not expect was to be pushed away when Rose took notice of what was going on.

"What the hell, Rose?"

"Oh, sorry! I didn't want to push you but right now I want to be alone, Scorpius." she said while wiping the tears from her eyes.

"What's wrong? What happened?"

"Nothing, really! I'm just stressed out and it came out this way." lied Rose.

"Oh, well, I get it! I just wanted to talk to you about Mel..."

But he did not manage to finish his sentence, since Rose standed abruptly and made a run for her room, locking herself inside and leaving a very angry and confused Scorpius to understand what is going on by himself.

The days passed and two weeks later Scorpius found himself fighting with Melani.

"Seriously, you are breaking up with me?" screamed a furious Melani.

"Well, that's what I'm saying."

"Is it because of that Weasley girl?"

"What are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about her being in love with you and you looking at her every minute possible."

"I'm certainly not looking at Rose all the time and I'm breaking up with you because I'm tired of the constant jealousy." he said turning around and leaving without admitting that he was in love with Rose Weasley.

He headed to the Common Room, where he found Rose studying, and slumped onto the couch.

"What's up?" he asked. But he got no answer. "Rose, talk to me."

"What?" she snapped at him.

"Why so aggressive?"

"It's nothing."

"Well, obviously, it's something."

"Nope! Just want to study."

"Rose! What's going on? Please tell me."

"Scorpius, it's nothing." she said while closing her books and getting up to leave.

Before she manages to take a step, Scorpius grabbed her and pulled her on the couch, pinning her down with his body.

"Not a chance, Weasley! What are you hiding from me?"

"Well, you see, I may be a little bit in love with you."

"Seriously?" he said surprised that Melani's words were true.

"Yeah." said Rose timidly.

"Good! It would be terrible if I was the only one in love, wouldn't it?" he said, kissing Rose before she could take in his words.

After a few seconds, his words sunk in and she kissed back fiercely, turning them over and knocking them both on the floor.

They started laughing uncontrollably and finally managed to fall asleep on the floor, covered only with a blanket, hugging each other tightly. After all, nobody could blame them. They had finally found what they had been looking for, each other.
