Once upon a time there was a little girl ,

Now this little girl was growing' up in a broken world ..

There was so much she couldn't say just tryna grow up on her own,

Baby girl was just fourteen and never listening.

For her the streets were so much safer than what's waiting behind her own door.

Trapped in those four walls everyday, staring at a computer screen her only connection to the outside.

Jail let out from 8-3, but eventually she'd be going in again .

There was no escape from those people she owed her life,

Daddy's always ready starting up many fights,

The man would do anything to prove he's right .

He's also Mr. commander in chief, needs obedience with every order .

Mama's alright, but always takes the other side,

Nags her all the damn time but to everyone else turns a bind eye .

Can't trust neither, it was pretty damn sad,

Making excuses to get away and became their little good girl going bad .

Always up late nights, doing what she wanted and staying away from the fights .

For her

Hell was a place called home

At school she seemed to be crying out,

desperate for others to see past her smile

I couldn't help her, I just watched her make the same mistakes again and again ,

While she was slipping into the little hole , life was passing by .

Couldn't trust anyone but her own,

Never told anyone everything she goes through .

A boy to love her, seemed impossible

all she needed was someone who'd never leave her .

Maybe it would've made her better .

But it seemed everything she loved was always slipping ,

Baby girl kept her cool, and screwed the crying and tripping .

She was a symbol of strength to many,

Even though they didn't know those dark secrets she hid .

She never cried, never got upset,

but the girl was so dead tired of running .

She was the girl people knew would be strong, she was the rock ,

she couldn't break in front of them so she kept it in .
