A Broken Heart
Sequel to 'Surprise Move' by Queen Datsuh. You have to go to her profile to read it. You're told why the departure happened there.
Disclaimer: I own…nothing this publicly great. I hope to someday though. So I don't own Foster's.
Mac opens a letter given to him by his mother as he waits for the school bus. He was excited about tomorrow. It was going to be a special day. And hopefully afterwards he'd please a certain someone. He could only hope.
Mac takes out the letter and starts to read it. His smile slowly faded as he reads each line. This letter was two days old. Two days.
Two days ago Goo had written to him to let her know that she was readying to move away as she wrote the letter. Now Mac had no idea how to find her.
And things only got worse when he decided to re-read, unable to accept Goo's departure.
…when I held your hand, you thought that I was being goofy as Francine slammed the door. But I wasn't. Holding your hand, following you around, fixing your backpack. All was a ruse and an attempt to make you fall in love with me. Of course it failed. I know my letter seems unlike me, but I'm smarter than I behave…
Smarter? Mac wondered.
…chasing someone who doesn't feel the same is foolish. I hope I find that special someone someday. I wish the same for you. I will miss you and everyone at Foster's.
"She's really gone?" Mac asked himself as she read further on.
Goodbye forever Mac. I'll probably never see you again. Remember the Goo times and I'll remember the Big Macs.
Mac finishes reading the letter then puts it away. He takes a valentine card out of his coat pocket. Tomorrow would be a Valentine's Day.
Inside it said.
To my friend Goo. May we become more.
Mac opened it and looked inside. Looked inside the valentine's day card that he knew deep down in his heart that Goo would never see.
Soon tears flowed out his eyes.
Tears of Anger.
Tears of Regret.
Tears of Despair.
Tears of a Broken Heart.
