Chapter 1:
I sigh in frustration at myself in the mirror, It's just a flight, I tell myself. I've done this before. Griping the sink I will myself to get a grip "you will be okay" I tell myself as my nerves calm. I sigh in frustration and gaze in the mirror at the short, dark haired girl with brown eyes that are far to big for her face, the lighting in here making her usually tan skin appear lighter than usual. I jump as a blonde woman walks into the bathroom, she gives me a funny look that I catch in the mirror before heading into one of the toilet stalls, I roll my eyes. Straightening up I check my watch "Fuck" I cuss grabbing my carry on luggage. I am at Los Angeles international Airport boarding a plane home to London. I came to La to vist my friend Aria, who promised me a dancing job, unfortunately she hadn't mentioned that the job involved removing clothes. So here I am running in my doc martins, Boyfriend jeans and a black crop top, trying to make my flight because I am always fucking late. "Excuse me" I tell a man as I bump shoulders with him in a haste to my boarding gate.
"Mam please take your seat" A flight attendant is ushering me into my seat, she is petite with short black hair, she looks like an evil pixie, I read her name badge, Neb! How fitting, I giggle earning myself my second strange look for today "is something funny" she tuts, "No, I'm sorry, I get nervous" I explain awkwardly, Neb smiles in response and moves on to help an elderly man struggling with his carry on luggage. Turning to take my seat I am met by the most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen "I believe you're seated next to me, by the window" Blue eyes says. He is a fellow Brit, his accent is a little thin, Not that I care, this man is handsome, very handsome. He is dressed in a casual white T-shirt and jeans with messy light brown hair, what I wouldn't give to run my hands through.. "Uhum" The man clears his throat, oh right! "Thanks" I mumble as I take my seat. Something tells me the next eleven hours aren't going to be so bad after all. "Ladies and gentlemen please remain in your seats as we are scheduled to take flight shortly, thank you" A flight attendant announces, "Do you think we will get a funny safety monologue? I've seen some make the news, that would be so cool" I say to blue eyes in effort to break the ice, to my disappointment he doesn't answer, "I've never been on the news" I exclaim sighing, he isn't very vocal but that's okay, I can think of other uses for his mouth... "Maybe today will be your lucky day" he says flatly, turning to look at me, his eyes travel down my body and then back up, stopping at my lips "unfortunate, really" he whispers before turning away to focus on the flight attendant, who is starting the safety talk through.
