In celebration of Winter Break, I have decided to write more one-shots (Oh boy.) Here's a little one about Palutena, which I hope you all enjoy.

"Do you remember that time we saved the world, Pit? Well, you did most of the work, but I was cheering you on the whole time, from here. I think I did a good job with moral support, don't you?"

The goddess was met with silence on the other end.

"Remember how you and Pittoo, I mean Dark Pit, fought all the time? Boy, he was a stubborn one. Nothing like you, Pit. You were always good."

She looked back up at the stone statue.

"I told you the humans would love you. You were a hero. Can you believe they had a huge ceremony and everything in your honor?"

His smiling face, his goofy pose, they captured everything in the statue of him. Pit had saved the human race from incredible danger, and now, he was gone. It wasn't like he was murdered or anything. Palutena could have dealt with that. But, his disappearance, his death? It was her fault. This whole time, the goddess had the ability to let Pit fly on his own, and out of selfishness, she chose not to. She liked to have someone be dependent on her, to need her. Oh, the things she had done. Pit flew too long and burned his wings out, without her being there. Without her saving him. He died, alone. The worst fate anyone could meet.

"I was a lousy friend to you, wasn't I, Pit?"
