Becky looked down at Adam, a black eye forming and his lip busted. He smiled noticing that she had entered the room only to have it falter when he saw her expression.
"Hey Sunshine."
Becky furrowed her brow and sat down next to him. She looked at him, studying his face for any other injuries. How could this happen? How did her sweet, kind, caring Adam get into a fight with a member of another band?
"You scared me." She said quietly, barely above a whisper. She looked away from him blinking back the tears that had begun to threaten to spill over. What if he had gotten seriously injured? She couldn't deal with that, it hurt to see him as he was now.
"I'm sorry Becky, I really am." He said sincerely, she still turned her head from him hiding her face. "Look at me." He demanded gently.
She did as he said and looked at him, his hair was disheveled, pieces going every which way. Becky sighed and ran her fingers through it combing it back.
"You can't do that to me Adam! What if you had gotten hurt or something?"
"I didn't mean to make you so upset, I'd never want to make you cry." He said looking down.
Becky cupped his face and brought it up before moving her hand to the back of his neck and pulling him forward gently, not wanting to hurt him. He inched forward and smiled at her. Becky's heart fluttered at the sight of that smile and she smiled back. She captured his lips in a gentle kiss and Adam moved his hands to rest on her hips. Becky pulled away and rested her forehead on his looking into his eyes. He still had his eyes closed, a content smile tugging at his lips; the realization hit her like a ton of bricks.
She loved him.
Becky Baker loved Adam Torres, the simplicity of it astonished her, the way it seemed to fit. As natural as rain. She wanted to tell him, she wanted to tell everyone, anyone who would listen.
"I love you Adam." She said playing with the hair at the back of his neck.
"I love you too, Becky." He said looking up at her.
"I've never felt this way before." She smiled.
"Me either." He said kissing her again.
Becky pulled away and gave him a confused look; she knew about Fiona, she had thought he loved her.
Adam chuckled knowing what Becky was thinking.
"I loved Fiona, no doubt, but it's the same way I love Clare. It's different with you. I'm IN love with you."
Becky leaned forward to kiss him again, she smiled into the kiss and Adam took the opportunity to nibble gently on her bottom lip before pulling away.
"You're a really good kisser." Becky said he cheeks turning a deep crimson color.
Adam smirked wiggling his eyebrows. "Thanks Sunshine."
She laughed but stopped suddenly. "I'm sorry." She said looking down
"For what?" Adam asked confused at the sudden change.
"Well it's just, you're the first person I've ever kissed, and I'm probably not very good at it. It's not like I'm the most attractive or um, liberal person…" she trailed off. Her head snapped up as she heard Laughing. There Adam was laughing hysterically, his cheeks turning red and tears filling his eyes.
"You think…" he stopped trying to compose himself. "You think you're not a good kisser?"
"Well."
"Becky, I'm sorry but that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. You're a fantastic kisser." He said pulling her closer. " And I've never been more attracted to anyone in my life."
Becky blushed at his words and smiled leaning into his embrace. Adam reached over and took her hand intertwining their fingers.
"I love you." He said looking into her eyes.
"I love you too."
