Neb: I do not own Pokemon, none of the rights belong to me, I am just a fanfic writer. The following story revolves around my OC Dustin Tackim as he travels the Kanto Region in hopes to become the next champion. He is a pail, blonde kid with green eyes, long hair, and freckles. His clothes consist of black jeans, a white polo shirt with a black stripe, grey running shoes, and a black flat hat with a pokeball pin placed on the side of it. His back pack is an old green and brown bag passed to him by his father. Some of the eight gym leaders, the elite four, and Gym leaders may be switched out with OCs during the story as well. I believe the story takes place in Pallet Town where Young Dustin and his Dad build their new home. The story takes place after Ash leaves Pallet town. Red May cameo in it as well.
Dustin Tackem grinned as he finished painting his room walls white. He grabbed his old bag and his flat cap and ran down stairs to tell his dad. He almost tripped over his dad's cubone, but luckily caught himself. "Sorry," he responded as the pokemon looked at him angrily. His dad who had long black hair yet green eyes like his was working on the front porch of their home with his Machoke and Jinx. "Dad, I finished my room."
"Good job son," the man grinned as he wiped the sweat of his head with a rag. "We are getting so close to finishing."
"Machoke," one of his pokemon spoke up.
"Right," his dad replied. "Go see Professor Oak, I'm sure he'd be happy to give you a Pokemon."
"The Pokemon Professor, I can wait!" His son was about t
"Hold on a minute son," his dad spoke up. "Your going to need this if you get a pokemon." He handed his son three pokeballs and a map.
"What's this for," Dustin asked.
"In case if you wanted to start your journey like your mother and I did when we were young. I was off on an adventure to become the champion, then I met your mother, we had a battle and I lost. Didn't mean I didn't win her heart though."
"Dad, I'm eleven," Dustin grumbled.
"Right, right," he smiled. "My Pokemon and I will finish your room, go see the Professor." His son nodded as he ran to the laboratory. Dustin couldn't believe he was going to see Professor Oak. At least that's what he thought until he bumped into a woman in a lab coat causing her to drop a case of two pokeballs.
"No," she yelled as two mice like Pokemon ran off. One yellow with red hears and cheeks, the other with blue ears and cheeks. "How could you do that?!"
"I'm sorry, it was an accident."
"What do you want?"
"I wanted to see Professor Oak," Dustin grunted.
"He's not hear, I'm watching his lab while he visits his family in Alola!"
"I'm sorry, I'll get them back." Dustin ran off after the two mice and the lab coat woman sighed.
"Wait, those are the woods," she yelled. "You need pokemon to go there!" She ran off after him in hopes of catching up.
Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Dustin was panting as he looked around in the woods for the two pokemon. He had thrown one of his father's pokeballs at a Rattata and failed to catch it, so he decided not to use anymore. "What are you doing," a girl spoke up behind him. He turned around freaked out expecting the lab coat woman, but instead it was a girl with a pokeball color scheme baseball cap, a white and red skirt, and a red sash with three pokeballs tied to it.
"I'm looking for two mice pokemon? Minun and Plusle."
"So there's a Minun here to," she replied as she looked around. "I already caught the Plusle, it was pretty easy with my Charmander."
"Caught it, but it was someone elses!"
"It can't be," she snickered. "If that person released it or lost care for it then capturing the pokemon was fare game. Otherwise my pokeball would have just bounced off."
"Yea, well your still going to give it back," he yelled. "Come on, I'm in trouble."
"No," she bluntly responded. "I'm not letting a pokemon like that go, it's rare to the Kanto Region."
"Who are you?"
"What's it to you?" He stared at her confused and she turned around and begun to walk away.
"Hold on!"
"Challenge me to a pokemon battle," she demanded. "If you care so much then earn it back."
"I don't have Pokemon, but I can get my dad and he can."
"It has to be you," she replied before walking off. "I'll see you on this pathway at six tonight." The girl disappeared into the woods and left Dustin behind confused.
"I gotta find the Minun." That was before he heard a pokemon scream off in the distance. Dustin looked up and saw the blue eared pokemon fall into his arms from the tree. As it tried digging it's way into his shirt trying to find a place to hide. "Hey, what's wrong?" He turned his head to see an angry Fearow heading his direction. The only reason Dustin knew what that pokemon was, was because his dad owns a Fearow. Minun balled itself inside his shirt and he started running the other direction trying to escape the bird.
"Min," the pokemon yelled as he tried to lose it between trees.
"Can you use attacks?" The pokemon ignored him as he tried to escape the bird that now grabbed hold of him. It lifted him off the ground intending to bash his head into a tree. However, bubbles and leaves flew at the pokemon causing it to fall back away from him. He saw the lab coat woman run over to him.
"Did you get the pokemon?"
"look out," he yelled as he tackled into her causing the Fearow to barely miss them.
"Squirtle, use bubble," she yelled. "Bulbasaur, use razor leaf!" Two more pokemon emerged from the bushes and begun firing bubbles and leaves at the bird pokemon. "I got it on the run." Before they knew it, a swarm of spearows fallowed behind the Fearow. "Oh no!" She tossed a pokedex to Dustin. "I'm not much of a battler type, how about you give it a shot." He looked at the minun curled up against his chest and checked the pokedex.
"Minun's strongest move at this stage would be quick attack, if you are able to get close to enemy, I would recommend nuzzle."
"Minun, use quick attack," he yelled, but was ignored by the pokemon. "It's your pokemon! You do something." He turned his head to the lab coat woman who shook her head.
"They belonged to Professor Oak, I only researched them to learn about the perfect bond between the two mice." The Bulbasaur was the first to go down as it was pecked over and over again forcing the scientist to return it. He moved the Pokedex to Squirtle as it took several hits from the swarm.
"Squirtle use watergun," he yelled and the pokemon reacted to the command sending several of the swarm members on the ground. "Dodge now and use bubble." The squirtle did as commanded and managed to force the remaining spearow to flee. The Fearow wasn't done however, it slammed it's beak into squirtle from behind and instantly knocked out the water pokemon.
"Return," the lab coat woman responded as she withdrew the injured pokemon. "That's all I got, there was suppose to be three, but someone had already picked up the third pokemon this mourning." The Fearow began to pick up speed as it gathered two of the spearow to fallow behind it as they moved in for an attack on the humans.
"Look, I know your scared," Dustin whispered to the pokemon. "You lost your buddy and you can't find him, but... if you don't do something we can't make it out of this. Please help!" The Fearow and the spearows moved in on the two humans as they were backed against a tree.
"I don't wanna die," the lab coat woman cried. That was before Minun jumped out of Dustin's shirt and tackled into the Fearow. As it dangled onto the bird, the mouse shot electricity out of it's cheeks at the giant bird. The Fearow fell to the ground after that crashing into one of the sparrows before the other flew off in fear. The Fearow lifted itself off the ground and flew off with it. Dustin and the lab coat lady both sighed in relief before Dustin threw one of his pokeballs at the spearow that remained on the ground. The light flickered a few times before the ball stopped shaking and his capture was complete.
"Meet me at Professor Oaks Lab, bring Minun with you," the lab coat woman stated before leaving the forest. Dustin was surprised she didn't try to just take the Minun, but he could tell why. The electric mouse was now nussled into his shirt again as it stayed clung to his body.
"Well this should be interesting."
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
"So you can't get the Plusle back because a girl had already captured it," the woman stated. "Well you'll have to beat her and win it back." Dustin looked at her and then nodded.
"That was the agreed terms, yea."
"I am Prof. Wicker, I am a former assistand of Professor Oak before I went out in the world to be my own scientist. I've been studying the perfect bond between pokemon and trainer and pokemon and pokemon for about three years now. Prof. Wicker didn't look older than thirty, she had black hair like his dad, and dark brown eyes. "OK, how many pokemon does this girl have." He remembered the three pokeballs on her sash.
"Three," he stated.
"With the Spearow and the Minun that gives you two. I'll also give you the squirtle sense it has an attatchment after that battle."
"Wow, that's awesome. I already have three pokemon."
"Now hold on a minute. When you win your battle, you give me the Minun and Plusle back, got it." He looked at her disappointed, but then nodded.
"Good." Wicker handed him the pokeball with the squirtle in it and then smiled. "Good luck."
Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Dustin moved through the woods until he found the pathway that the pokemon trainer was going to challenge him at. When he finally made it there, he saw her standing on one side as she prepared herself for battle.
"I'm here," Dustin stated.
"Took you long enough," she smirked. "Are you ready to battle?"
"Yea, unfortunately I have to give back Minun and Plusle to the Professor."
"Then for the both of us, I will make sure you lose. I am the Pokemon Trainer Scarlett, and I will be the Kanto's champion by the end of my journey!" She threw a pokeball releasing a rock Pokemon. His pokedex told him it was Geodude. He remembered Prof. Wicker explained to him witch pokemon was weak to what. If she had Charmander then that mean he could take down two of her Pokemon no problem.
"Go Squirtle," he yelled.
"I knew it," she grinned. "Tackle now." The Geodude tackled into Squirtle knocking him back.
"Bubble," Dustin yelled and the Squirtle shot at the pokemon with bubble missing the first shot. "It's ok, dodge the next attack and use watergun."
"Defense curl," she yelled and the Geodude raised it's defense. Squirtle used it's watergun, but was unable to knock out the pokemon. "Tackle."
"Dodge. Bubble!" Squirtle landed another hit on the geodude, but took damage from the tackle. "You can do it, water gun!" Squirtle pumped water from it's mouth and pushed back the rock pokemon managing to knock it out.
"Excellent work," she complemented before returning her geodude. "You forget one thing." She released Plusle from her selection. He grunted as he thought about who to switch with. Spearow was just as weak to electric attacks as squirtle, but he didn't want to have Minun fight Plusle. That would be cruel to have friends fight eachother.
"I won't switch," Dustin yelled.
"Then you asked for this," Scarlett yelled back. "Electroball." His eyes widened as a ball of lightning instantly knocked out his squirtle. He had no choice, there was no way he was going to win with flying.
"Go Minun," he yelled. He released Minun and the two pokemon stared at eachother. Minun with a cheerful look and Plusle with a determined one.
"Quick attack," they both yelled as the two pokemon charged at eachother hitting each over and over.
"Nuzzle," Dustin yelled.
"Growl," Scarlett responded. The Minun didn't do much damage as it regained it's footing against it's friend. "Quick attack!"
"Quick attack also," Dustin ordered and the two of them slammed at each other before Minun collapsed. Dustin's eyes widened.
"Yup," Scarlett smiled. "They were just as strong as each other, but growl fixed that." Dustin grunted as he moved to his last pokemon. Sparrow may be weak to electic attacks, but he was still fast. Maybe he could land a good enough his to finish off Plusle.
"Sparrow, I choose you!"
"Electoball," Scarlett yelled.
"Dodge and use Pursuit!" The bird did manage to dodge the attack and land his own attack knocking out Plusle. "You did it!" Scarlett clapped as she returned her Pokemon.
"Excellent show... Yet, it's far from over." She let out her Charmander who grinned with confidence. "Ready your pokemon, because I'm ending it now!"
"Can't let her get the first hit, Furry Attack now." Several hits came Charmander's way as the bird managed to hit it five times.
"Ember," Scarlet spoke up before Charmander shot fire at the pokemon point blank range. Spearow rolled on the ground before getting back to it's feet. "Scratch, finish it off." Charmander moved in fast before scratching the pokemon causing it to roll again and knock it out. "Game over." Dustin fell to his knees as he picked up his pokemon. "It was a fun match, I'm glad we played." Scarlett turned around before heading off with her Charmander. "Try again some time, I'll wait in the next town, just for you."
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
"So Prof. Wicker was upset after my defeat," Dustin explained to his dad as they sat out on the newly finished front porch.
"Well she shouldn't have dumped that responsibility on you anyways," his dad smiled. "You accomplished a lot though. From what you told me, you got three pokemon, took on a swarm of Spearows and a Fearow, and had your first trainer battle in the same day. I'm proud of you son and you know what. I got off the phone with Professor Oak, he said you could keep Minun." Dustin grinned as he hugged his Minun who hugged him back. "Do you want to give him a nickname?"
"Yea, I'll name all three of my pokemon, starting with Sparky!"
"Good name," his dad smiled. "Hey son, you and your pokemon look tired. "I think you should get some rest."
