I have known it all this time
You wonder what had gone wrong.
How everything was perfect until everything came crumbling down.
But I never thought I'd live to see it break
And then you found out that the relationship wasn't perfect.
He was only using you.
And suddenly, everything became clear.
He wasn't the one.
The way that he wasn't caring with you as he was with her.
Sometimes his eyes would wander other places other than you.
Something's made your eyes go cold
In a matter of months, he broke up with you. The couple of months you thought you were happy.
But he realized he only loved you like a sister.
A few weeks later, you can't help thinking about him.
The memory of him dumping you in front of everyone, humiliated you.
You were haunted by this.
Every time someone mentioned him and her.
How they kiss, they share a secret smile.
He's more eager to spend some time with her than he was with you.
Stood there and watched you walk away
From everything we had
But I still mean every word I say to you
Sometimes, it hurts only a little. You still have feelings for him that you don't want.
On others, you wished he was dead or at least metaphorically.
You're all I wanted
He was all you wanted. But things were not that easy.
Can't breathe whenever you're gone
You wish everything was easy as last time. When love wasn't so complicated.
But when you think about it, it never was. So you feel like cursing Aphrodite.
Won't see you again
You wouldn't want to see him again, even in the Arena or Dining Hall.
"Annabeth?"
You turn you head around.
And you see your best friend.
He looks at you with full understanding and comforting arms.
He wouldn't know you felt.
"You love him, don't you?" He asked softly.
You nod slowly, unsure if it's true anymore.
"It's OK, he doesn't deserve you."
You look up slowly as you wrap your arms around him.
"I don't love him, I thought I did but I didn't."
He wraps him arms around you.
It makes you feel safe and protected.
Warm.
"Wise Girl, you never did deserve him. He's a jerk in the making. I saw it coming after he came back."
He answered softly as he touches your cheek.
You respond by gently touching his.
"It doesn't mean you won't be happy anymore."
He comforted as he leans a little closer, closing the gap between you and him.
Though you wanted to retort back, you knew he was right.
"You have guys like me." He joked.
He will try to take away my pain
You look at him and see him grin the most beautiful smile you have ever seen.
And it's genuine. Like him.
You lean in and he kissed you like you always wanted.
And your heart reforms together.
You're sure he's the one.
"Thank you, Percy."
"You're welcome, Annabeth."
And he just might make me smile
He's the one.
Ookay! Who thought who broke her was Percy? I hope you like this chapter, I hope it's not OOC. I'm sorry I tried to make it sad but I couldn't! I'm a total hard-core Percabeth fan! The italics are song lyrics from Taylor Swift's "Haunted"
Peace Out,
