"Oh Kairi you're the most beautiful girl here." Selphie said as she looked at Kairi's wedding. dress. Kairi and Sora were getting married in about three hours and Riku watched as they held up the dress. It was a beautiful lace gown that even held up its was gorgeous. The girls were so wrapped up in looking at the dress that they didn't notice Riku at first.

"Riku, what are you doing here?" It was Selphie that finally looked up from the dress to see an awkwardly standing Riku. Everyone looked at Riku.

"Ummmm well Sora wanted to tell Kairi that he couldn't wait to see her but since he couldn't come see you he sent me" Riku managed to get out.

"Aw thanks Riku tell Sora I said that I love him!" Riku turned to leave.

He walked down the hall towards the groom's room. He could hear excited voices coming from all directions; everyone wanted everything perfect for the wedding. Riku stopped suddenly.

"Fuck this" He took a sharp left and headed outside, where the rain fell pounding on the sidewalk. It was pouring but Riku didn't mind and the rain cleared his head. He walked down the sidewalk, not caring where he went as long as it was away from here.

Riku couldn't stand to watch the man that he had loves for years get married to someone else. It was just too painful. He knew that he should be happy and support his best friend's decision but he just couldn't. Finally he got tired of walking and sat down on the curb of the sidewalk, the rain still pounding around him.

His cell phone started ringing, but he ignored it. It finally stopped but immediately started up again. Riku looked at the caller id and saw that it was Sora and answered it.

"Hello?"

"Riku where are you?" Sora's voice was laced with worry.

"I'm sorry Sora. I can't be there for your wedding."

"Why not, you're my best man"

"I know Sora but I can't watch as you get married to someone else." Riku's voice was full of sadness.

"Well, why not?"

"Because I love you" Riku hung up, he didn't want to hear Sora reject him. He didn't think that he would be able to handle it. He turned the phone off this time, blocking out the world even for a small time.

The rain didn't let up, but Riku liked it, it matched the turmoil inside of him. He just sat there, not wanting to move, if he could he would make himself stop breathing.

"Ri….ku…." It was very faint but Riku could have sworn that he heard Sora calling his name.

"Ri..ku..!" there it was again.

*I have to be imaging it* Riku thought

"Riku!" That was not his imagination, Riku looked up and almost like from a dream he saw Sora emerge from the rain, still in his wedding tux. He smiled down at Riku.

"There you are Riku I've been looking everywhere for you." Sora smiled down at him.

"Why? Don't you have a wedding to go too?" Riku whispered, Sora still heard him though.

"Well not anymore" Riku just looked at him waiting for an explanation.

"You hung up before I got a chance to say, but Riku I love you." Riku just started back at him.

"What about Kairi?" he asked.

"She said she expected it but she wished that I had said so before the day of the wedding" Sora grinned.

Before Sora could say anything else Riku captured his lips, silencing the brunette instantly.

"You have no idea how long I have wanted to do that"
