Rainy season was turning more apparent each of the passing days. The moist in the air gave chills to everyone. The wet ground made people stay in their respective houses and cocoon themselves in the warmth of their blankets and sip a taste of hot chocolate. Such a relaxing time at home. But wait, in the midst of a mighty 'bothersome' storm, two figures chose to venture through the unpleasant weather, or so they were forced to. It was a sunny day from where they came from, getting surprised when they reached the shore, rain and wind battering the windows of their boat.
"Thank god we were able to reach the shore." Nami inhaled in deep relief that they were able to set foot on the wet ground. Her hair tucked in a safe bun. She held an umbrella which by that time being battered by the raging blow of the wind.
"Be careful there." her companion said, grinning at her. He wasn't holding an umbrella, but wearing a yellow raincoat.
Nami tipped her head sideway and glanced at his direction, a flicker of irritation was in her eyes. "I'll be fine."
"We're not that sure."
Paying no more heed, Nami returned from her track and hastened her pace. Eager to go home.
The companion, who was ignored, gave a light shrug of his shoulder before following the lady ahead. He was going to warn her about the small rock in front of her when a thud muffled his voice. The man coughed his laugh. "Well, look what we have here."
"Ugh!"
"Now is not the time to dive on the ground, Amou. If you really feel like swimming you could have jumped there." he pointed at the direction of the sea. Nami scowled in return. She stood up from her position, ignoring the umbrella that flew afar from where they were. She swept a disgusted look at her muddy white shorts and gray tank top. She hissed. "Damn. I'm all wet." glaring at her broken slipper. "I bought this in Taiwan!"
"Are you done?" the man teased.
"Ugh! Tsuchiura, not a word."
Ryotaro grinned for the last time before unbuttoning his coat. He approached Nami, and without a word, pulled her closer beneath his raincoat and arms.
"W-wait!
"I assume you don't want to parade your muddy self and walk with only one pair of slipper alone."
"What are you doing, idiot!?"
"We're walking together." he took off his slippers and inclined his head at her direction. "In the count of three, run with me."
One…
Two…
Three…
"You jerk!"
