A/N: Hey everyone, after I had watched "Substitute Cedric" Friday I had an idea pop in in my head but the first time I had thought about it I wasn't able to cover all the details and I thought I wouldn't able to use it but it came to me again as I was laying in bed Saturday night wait for sleep to take me. As I laid there I began to think how my graduation was getting closer and closer then I thought how far I had come. To me getting through school felt like it took forever but as I continued to think a dear friend of mine who was my 5th and 8th grade teacher popped in my head too and I realized it was thanks to her that I was where I am. Sort of. She has actually known me ever since I was little girl starting school with her daughters. Once she was my teacher I began writing my stories from books I enjoyed and loved reading them but once in my 8th grade year things went down hill for me because then I had lost all of my hearing and I was completely deaf. I was pretty discouraged about it until on that first day she had took me outside of the gym and encouraged me things would get better. She has been a good friend to me ever since. So I decided to dedicate this story to her for being such a good friend. Now, I found another reason Cedric is my is like me! We both had a teacher looking out for us! Sorry, my author's note is so long, I just had to explain! Please Read and Review!

To Mrs. Suzy: Thanks for being such a good friend to me and encouraging me!

Sofia the First: Cedric's School Reunion

Cedric pored an ingredient in the cauldron mumbling under his breath about this very troubling potion. He had to work on it a few times to get it right and his last one messed up because Wormwood had fallen in. "Stupid stretching potion, if I mess up on this one I am choosing something else!" Cedric announced to the bird. Wormwood ignored his angry master as he was giving all his attention to his feathers. They were damp from falling in but the bird was glad his master had used a counter spell on them.

As if on cue Princess Sofia knocked on his door and entered with a an envelope in her hand. "Mr. Cedric... I" The sorcerer covered her mouth to quieten his apprentice and mixed all of his ingredients in then gathered the contents in a test tube. The sorcerer then sighed in relief as he fell in his chair at his desk and leaned on it looking at the awaiting Sofia.

"You can talk now princess, I just wanted you to be quiet so I could finish my stretching potion, I have been working on it all day that it makes me mad and want to throw it out the window!" Cedric clenched his gloved hands into fist then calmed down. The girl giggled at her master as he began to have a bored expression.

Getting the subject of the potion of his mind Cedric asked "I suppose you came up here for your lessons right?" Sofia nodded then handed him the white envelope she was aiming to give her mentor before. "What's this?" Cedric asked as he was handed the object. The girl shrugged then answered "I don't know but as I was making my way to your Workshop Bailywick was heading in the same direction in front of me and once he saw me he asked me to give this to you." The man smirked realizing the steward was saving time knowing the young princess went up here everyday.

When the sorcerer looked at the front of the envelope he was surprised to see who it was from. "I can't believe it." he answered widening his eyes. "What's the matter Mr. Cedric?" his apprentice asked as he looked him in worry. The sorcerer looked at her and said "It's a letter from Hexley Hall" Sofia became surprised, she had only heard about the school last Friday and now was surprised to hear from it again. She knew her friend had attended the school but wondered why Cedric would receive a letter from them.

Cedric opened the envelope and began to read it's contents "Oh no, not again." he wined as he buried his face in one of his gloved hands. The princess peered at at the letter over his arm and read it to herself. "This is great Mr. Cedric, a school reunion will fun to go to, it says you can bring your apprentice along too, I guess I can come along for the ride." she answered smiling at him but Cedric's expression was another story.

"We're not going Sofia!" he said sternly as threw the envelope in a the trash. Sofia frowned at his answer "Why not?" The sorcerer glared at the the princess then said it wouldn't be fun to him. "Besides, If I go I'll have to see Greylock and the last last time I went to the reunion I was pranked, trust me princess you do not want want to see me bald." He shivered at the memory then pulled out his spell book for her lesson.

The girl thought for a moment then her eyes brightened as an idea formed. "I could make sure you're not pranked besides I want to meet the teacher that had taught you magic, without him I wouldn't have met you." Cedric smirked at the mention of his dear teacher. It would be nice to see him again and he guessed he could tolerate Greylock better thanks to the Royal Jubilee they had. "Well, I guess things can't get worse, I suppose we could go tomorrow." Cedric answered as he sat his spell book on his desk.

Sofia was glad she had convinced him go. Without her positivity to everything she knew Cedric would say "No" to anything and be Mr. Negative Robe.

Bringing his apprentice out of her thoughts Cedric said "Well, let's get to your lesson now before the Royal Supper starts, you don't want to be starving and late do you?" The princess giggled guessed he was right.

…...

During the Royal Supper that night Sofia had announced she was going to accompany Cedric to his school reunion tomorrow and asked for her parent's permission. The twins however wondered how she was allowed to to go. "How is it that he allowed you to go Sofia?" Miranda asked her daughter as she continued eating.

"Well, this year he is allowed to bring his apprentice along." Sofia answered as she took a bite of her jiggly wiggly pudding. "I guess it wouldn't hurt to let her go and besides tomorrow is Saturday so she wouldn't have to miss school." Roland said to Miranda as he looked at her.

With a little bit more of pleading her parents allowed for Sofia to attend the reunion. Sofia was so happy, she couldn't wait for tomorrow to come!

…...

The next morning Sofia was putting on her her sorcerers robe. "Hey princess, what do you say we plat in the garden today followed by a picnic for lunch." Clover asked as he entered the girl's room followed by Mia and Robin. "Sorry guys but today I'm going with Mr. Cedric to his school reunion." The bunny became sad at the news then asked" Well, what are we suppose to do now?"

"We could go visit Crackle." Robin answered. "Yeah,we could but it just wouldn't be fun without you there Sofia." Clover answered in disappointment. "Oh come on Clover, you could have a fun day without me." she said cuddling the bunny.

A knock on the door sounded having the sorcerer come inside "Are you ready to go princess?" Cedric asked the girl in exasperation. Sofia giggled as she bid a farewell to her animal friends and pulled her mentor out of her room saying "Ah come on Mr Cedric, be positive after all I'm coming along this time."

Once they reached the awaiting coach Cedric helped the princess in and then joined her inside. "For once, I'm glad your not driving the coach." Cedric mocked her as he sat down. Sofia rolled her eyes but giggled at his second attempt at riding the transportation.

…...

As the flying coach was about to make it's landing Sofia became amazed at how big Hexley Hall was. "Wow, the building is amazing!" said Sofia as she stood up on the floor of the coach. Cedric smirked and wondered if she would ever stop at being amazed. He then pulled her to her seat next to him as the coach touched the ground.

"If I ever live through this day, remind me to give you extra work on our lessons." Sofia giggled then pulled him out of the couch once the coachmen opened the door.

Cedric dusted off his robe and looked at Sofia asking "What are our ground rules?" Sofia sighed saying "Always stay in your line of sight and stay beside you and I shouldn't wonder off unless I have permission from you." The sorcerer nodded in approval but then heard a familiar voice behind him.

"Cedric!" As the two friends turned to the sound of the voice they saw Greylock walking up to them "Ah Cedric, can you believe we're back at school again? I know it's only been a few months since the Royal Jubilee but it's good to see you again, I think we'll be seeing each other more often now!" Cedric rolled his eyes at his rival "Like you said, it hasn't been long."

Greylock smiled as he spotted Sofia giggling He bowed to her then said "Princess Sofia, I'm surprised you're here, I thought Cedric would be coming alone." The princess shook her head then answered "The invitation said that Mr. Cedric could bring his apprentice if he had one and here I am!" Greylock looked at Cedric, pointed to the girl and asked "You're training the Princess in magic?"

The man had a bored expression as he answered "Yes, she was having trouble in her sorcery class and asked for for my help." Grey lock smiled and took the princess hand "Well since your here how would you like a tour of the school Princess?" Sofia accepted the offer and followed the brown-haired sorcerer inside the school with Cedric dragging behind.

…...

During the tour with Greylock Sofia enjoyed herself as she listened to the man's stories about what the two sorcerers did during their schooling years. "Wow, I that's amazing! Do you you think we could find Mr. Cedric's teacher, I wanted meet him and thank him for helping Mr. Cedric teaching him magic.

"I doubt he'll be that hard to find princess but he may have retired now." Cedric answered gaining the two's attention. "Oh Cedric, don't doubt her hopes besides I have been visiting the school a few times and so happens he hasn't retired yet but he is going to after this year." Greylock said proudly at Cedric's theory.

Sofia became excited "This could be our last chance Mr. Cedric, Greylock lead the way!" The sorcerer obeyed the girl's order as the two walked off with Cedric a few feet behind him. "This ought to be amusing." Cedric mumbled.

…...

After a little while of searching the group found the teacher in the Cafeteria talking to other people. "Hey Cedric, do you remember the food fight we use to have whenever they served marsh mellow sprouts?" Greylock asked as he remembered the memory. For once Cedric chuckled at the thought "Yeah, I remember one of the cafeteria workers ended up on the ceiling and we all got detention." Sofia couldn't believe the two sorcerers got in trouble! "You two should be ashamed at what you did, that was mean!"

The two sorcerers were surprised at the princess' outburst. "It's just a memory Sofia, we learned our lesson." Cedric answered trying to calm the girl down having Greylock nod in agreement. "he's right princess, we're just reliving the days" Sofia nodded then suggested they go visit Cedric's teacher.

When they reached the man he had just finished talking to a group of sorcerers and spotted the group coming towards him spotting his pupil behind Greylock and Sofia. "Well, aren't you a sight for sore eyes Greylock." the man chuckled having the sorcerer join in with him.

"Professor, I'd think you remember Cedric?" The man nodded an shook the sorcerer's hand "Cedric, it's been a while." the man said. Cedric nodded "It has, allow me to introduce my apprentice Princess Sofia." The man bowed to the girl "It is a pleasure to meet you Princess Sofia, I'd didn't expect you to be Cedric's pupil." Greylock came next to the man and whispered "Neither did I"

The girl giggled at then started to talk "I'm so glad to finally met Mr. Cedric's teacher, you should be proud he's teaching me amazing things and just last week he taught my sorcery class the sorcerer's secret." The man became surprised at such high praise about his student. "I did learn from the best princess Cedric smirked at her.

After Sofia had told all the amazing things Cedric did the professor praised Cedric as well "T-Thank-you professor." Cedric answered The teacher visited with the group more til it was time to go. "You ready to go Princess Sofia, it's going to be supper time when we get back to the castle." Cedric asked. Sofia agreed a bid the teacher and Greylock.

"It seems Cedric has been doing great wouldn't you agree Greylock?" Greylock nodded in agreement "Yes, I bet before long Princess Sofia will be good sorceress."
