A/N – So, I've decided to make a series of short oneshots mostly about Kazuma and Ayano, and maybe their friends in between. I'll be updating this as often as I can. This oneshot is a little bit into the future, futuristically speaking that Kazuma and Ayano have already admitted their feelings for one another. So, Enjoy! Oh, and if you have any ideas that you would like to see me write about, I'd love to hear them. And don't forget to review

Disclaimer: I wish I did, but I do not own Kaze no Stigma.

"I love you."

"Oh shut up."

"I really love you."

"Really, shut up."

Kazuma narrows his eyes. Ren catches the dark look in his brother's eyes.

"I love you."

"I said, shut up. Or go away – whichever works fine with me." Ayano replies hotly as she frustratingly flicks her hair over her shoulder.

"But why?"

"There is no why – so please, just go away?" Ayano says, almost in a pleading tone, as her eyes soften.
Kazuma twitches. Ren bites his lower lip and says a quick prayer.

"No, I won't go away until you tell me why!"

Ayano flinches for a brief second. Upon recovery from the unexpected outburst, her dark amber orbs turned fiery with an irate look evident on her face.
Kazuma smirks. Ren reaches a hand out to his admirable Nii-sama. "Nii-sama, shouldn't you stop it?"
Kazuma shakes his head.

Ayano continues to fume.

"I love you."

"Aargh! I don't love you. I love Kazuma. Ka-zu-ma." She enunciates the last word as if she's speaking to a two year old with a bad grasp of the basic linguistic skills.

Kazuma smiles triumphantly from his place by the streetlight across the road. He watches as the face of the persistent boy from Ayano's high school – her classmate apparently, falls in dejection. Ayano shakes her head and reaches up to pat the boy's arm in consolation – if she really had any.

"I'm sorry, but I can't return your feelings."

"Not even the slightest bit?"

"Nope."

The face falls again.

Kazuma's smile turns into a full-fledged grin. The girl sure can be bluntly direct and honest, and truly firm in her decisions. 'What's that word again? Incapable of being overcome – right, invincible.' Kazuma muses. 'And I am just as unrivaled for the position in her heart.'
