The wind whistled through the trees, to warn of a coming storm, however late of a warning it might have been. Rain poured down from the heavens, turning the sky a grey-blue and faint whispy clouds drifted across the skies. Though the singular traveler on the road didn't seem to mind the rain pelting his thick coat.

It felt nice, actually, the rain washing out his sometimes deep wounds, and carrying away the blood from his coat and hair, their original colors beginning to show through. He was getting a free shower and running wouldn't help much after all, the man concluded to himself. He sighed suddenly and wished the miles before him would be behind him quickly. 'But if wishes were fishes we'd all live in the sea.' The man recited mentally, smiling as he did.

He stilled as he felt chakra flare up around him, hand drifting towards his weapon pouch, ready to snatch a kunai out and dispatch whatever enemy had come.
