This was made a couple years ago, but I never got around to uploading it.

The vision was overwhelming. All the people, all the lives he had pushed away, for the sake of his own power. In the end, his own greed had destroyed him. He wished he had never looked out the window at that time so long ago, seen the notebook, pages fluttering as it fell from the heavens. If only he had left it lying there on the ground outside the school. But what would have happened then? The world would have continued to rot, as criminals strutted around fearlessly, destroying innocent lives.

The world full of sins, the world with no god. Was it worth it? True, there was no god to deliver justice to those who practiced evil. So he had taken it upon himself to do just that. He had become the living embodiment of justice. He had become the new god, Kira.

But in the end, he was only human. And as he staggered down the deserted street, fleeing from the police force who had found him, he knew it was the end. Where was Misa? Takada? He needed them. His family. What would they think? Would they even miss him? His mom, his dad. Sayu. He slowed to a stop, looking around desperately. No one. No citizens, no members of the task force. He was not aware when he started walking again. Blood dripped from his wounds onto the sidewalk. As it fell, it blended in with the colours of the setting sun. He grimaced clutching his arm. There was another company he desired. His worst enemy and victim, Ryuzaki. It was Ironic really, that even as his mortal enemy, Ryuzaki had still shown him true friendship. Tears rolled down his cheeks as the realization settled within him. They were all dead. All except for Misa. And that did not even matter at this time, because she wasn't here, not when he needed her most.

He would die alone, just as Ryuk had predicted. Never to reach heaven or hell, he would sink into the abyss of nothingness, condemned to an eternity in the dark, where no other souls existed. This was the punishment of playing god.
