Hi everyone! This is my first FanFiction, and I hope you enjoy. This is a re-write of a story by my friend Konoha-Wolf called Hogwarts New Students.

"Only four years left," I said to myself as I leaned against a pillar, looking out at the school grounds, the wind blowing though my long, dark blond hair. It was the last day of my third year at Hogwarts, school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, I felt like it had gone too quickly. Students ran all around, making sure they didn't forget anything as they got ready to get on the train. Suitcases were being carried down to the train by everyone. Fellow Ravenclaws had their arms full of books, trying to fit them all in their suitcases. All of my possessions were in a single black satchel that hung over my shoulder. My dad had gotten it for me when I was accepted to Hogwarts. However much I put in it, it never seemed to get any heavier.
An owl flew past, delivering a last-minute message to someone. My Pygmy owl, who I had named Fluffles, was asleep in the hood of my cloak. I looked down when I felt a tug on my jeans. It was a short-haired yellow-ish cat, with slightly longer, orangey fur round his neck. His name was Lion, and he belonged to me, as much as a cat can belong to anyone. I picked him up and he quickly fell asleep in my arms. Normally you're only allowed one pet at Hogwarts, but Dumbledor had taken a liking to him and allowed him to stay after Lion cleared out an entire herd of Gerbilcorns from his office.
"Ivy," I turned around at the sound of my name and saw professor Dumbledor standing a few yards behind me.
"Yes?" I asked.
"May I ask a favor of you?" he questioned.
"Oh, uh, OK," I mumbled, it was odd for the Headmaster to ask favors of students, let alone third-years.
"You remember Rayella and Skyella, the twins, yes?" I was used to Dumbledor just simply knowing everything without being told. I did indeed remember my old friends. I moved away a few years ago, but I had tried to keep in contact, which was hard with me being at Hogwarts during the school year.
"Yeah, what about them?"
"We're bringing them to Hogwarts next year," he explained quickly. I was shocked. As far as I had known, they were muggles. If they were witches, why hadn't they been at Hogwarts before? This was my next question to Dumbledor.
"You'll find out soon," he said simply. I sighed, but I didn't push the subject. If Dumbledor didn't want you to know something, you wouldn't be finding out any time soon.
"So why are you telling me this now?" I asked.
"I want you to keep an eye on them, make sure they're ready for next year," he told me.
"But surely their parents know," I said confusedly, "why can't they keep an eye on them?"
"You're the only one they know here," he explained, "they'll be comfortable with you. Just... keep an eye on them, OK?"
I sighed, but agreed. I was pretty sure I was getting into something a bit over my head.
"Excellent. Oh, and may I also ask a favor of your owl?" Fluffles had woken up at some point during the conversation and at hearing this, hopped up onto my shoulder for my cloak hood. I said it was fine, and the headmaster pulled a letter out of the folds of his robes and handed it to Fluffles.
"Meet me at home," I told my owl. He nodded quickly and flew off.
"Speaking of home," said Dumbledor, "perhaps you should be getting on the train."
I turned around to see almost everyone was already on board. When I turned back around to say goodbye, Dumbledor was already gone.
Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed! Reviews would be greatly appreciated!
I promise it will get more exciting and longer as the story goes on!
