A woman who is probably in her late 20's or early 30's with red hair and is wearing a low cut black top, spotted leopard pants, a blue scarf, and black flats, her name was Yummy Mummy. Her child was a boy with short red hair and is wearing a black T-Shirt, red shorts, and white shoes, his name was Stanley. And they were coming out from the movies.

"Where are those damn keys?" Yummy Mummy muttered to herself as she searched through her purse.

A burglar was then right behind the woman and had a gun pointed at her. "Give me your purse!" He demanded.

"Please don't hurt me!" Yummy Mummy screamed after turning around. "I have a child!"

"SHUT UP AND GIVE ME YOUR PURSE!" The burglar growled.

"Hey, leave my mommy alone!" Stanley demanded.

"Be quiet, you brat!" The burglar scoffed as he pushed the boy to the ground.

"Stanley!" Yummy Mummy cried out. "Please, just leave us alone!"

"Shut up!" The burglar replied before pointing the gun at both of them. "Since you won't cooperate, it looks like I have no other choice..."

Yummy Mummy closed her eyes, waiting for the impact, but it didn't happen, so she opened her eyes to see that the burglar had appeared to be unconscious. "Stanley, open your eyes, we're okay." She cooed to her son.

"Whoa..." Stanley muttered as he opened his eyes.

"Thank you, whoever did this." Yummy Mummy whispered as she looked up at the sky.

Unknown to the mother and child, a figure looked at them and then went into the shadows.

The next day, our favorite group of teenagers were hanging out The Lemon Squeeze: their usual hang-out.

"Hey, where's Jude?" Wyatt wondered. "He's usually here by now."

"I don't know," Nikki replied. "He said something about telling us something."

Then suddenly, as if on cue, Jude came in, riding on his skateboard, and he stopped at the front of the gang and put a newspaper on the table. "Dudes, read the headline."

"'A mysterious shadow saves woman and child from a burglar'," Wyatt read aloud out of confusion. "And you're telling us this because...?"

"Don't you get it?" Jude replied. "We have a superhero in this town!"

"Jude, just because someone stopped a burglar in town doesn't mean that they're a superhero." Nikki said.

"You know, I have to agree with Jude," Jonesy spoke up. "It's gotta be a superhero; I mean, how else would they know that someone was in trouble? Tell me that one, Nikki."

"I-" Nikki tried only to sigh out of frustration. "Why do I even bother?"

"Wait, isn't that Yummy Mummy and Stanley?" Caitlin pointed out.

"Hey, you're right, Caitilin." Nikki agreed.

"Hey, guys, what's up?" Jen asked as she came to see her friends.

"Read the headline." Wyatt told her.

"Jude says that it's a superhero." Nikki added.

"Hmm... Interesting..." Jen hummed in thought after reading the newspaper headline.

"Do you think that there might be a hero?" Caitlin asked.

"I'll believe that the same day that Jonesy can actually keep a job." Nikki smirked.

"Hey!" Jonesy pouted.

"Anyway, I gotta get to work before Coach Halder gives me a penalty for being late," Jen told the others before leaving. "See you guys later."

"What's up with her?" Nikki wondered.

"I know what it is." Jonesy told the others.

"What?" Caitlin asked him. "What is it?"

"All right, but don't mention this to anyone." Jonesy told the others.

"Okay." Nikki, Caitlin, Jude, and Wyatt promised.

"All right, I heard Emma and my dad talking to Jen about something," Jonesy explained. "Something very shocking."

"What is it?" Wyatt asked.

"Jen is adopted." Jonesy revealed.
