"Where are we going?"

It felt like they'd been walking for ages. It was cold, and dark. Lukas just wanted nothing more than to go home and curl up in his warm bed. But Mathias has insisted they trek all this way, and refused to tell him what for.

"You'll see in a second..." he said as they climbed over a large pile of snow. The Dane helped to steady the less-than-amused Norwegian, whose eyes widened in surprise and curiosity when he saw what lay on the other side.

"This is what you dragged me out here for?" he asked. The Dane grinned and took his hand, slowly leading him towards a glass igloo he had set up just for this night. The entrance was made of ice, and so were the sides, but the entire top was made of sheets of glass, allowing whoever lay inside to see the sky. Lukas would never say it out loud, but it was a creative idea. Mathias was always doing things like this, all for him. He didn't even want to imagine how long it took to set up.

"Well? What do you think?" Mathias asked in anticipation, eager to hear his loved one's approval. Lukas shrugged and said a quiet 'it's nice', too embarrassed to admit he was really moved by it.

"Lets go inside already." he said. Now Lukas was the one pulling Mathias. They crawled inside, which was a lot warmer than the Norwegian had thought it'd be. There was a nest of blankets and pillows, and scented candles all around the little area. Lukas inhaled; it smelled of warm vanilla. On the side there was a thermos. As Lukas settled down in the blankets, he pointed to it. "What's in there?" he asked. Mathias smiled and grabbed it, opening it up. Steam rolled out and the smell of hot chocolate wafted out.

"Hot chocolate. Want some? I made it just how you like it." he offered. Lukas took the thermos and cautiously sipped at the hot drink. He was right; it was made exactly how he liked it. Mathias came and laid down beside him, sighing happily. "I'm glad you came out here with me tonight." he said calmly, for a change. "It's nice like this. Just you and me... The world is ours when we're together." He turned to smile lovingly at Lukas. The Norwegian fought the blush that came over him and turned away in an attempt to hide it.

"Yeah..." he quietly agreed. "We make a good team."

"We make a good couple." Mathias added. Lukas looked at him, but didn't say anything. The Dane slowly began to lean forward to kiss him. Lukas shut him eyes and waited for their lips to make contact. Suddenly, Mathias pulled away.

"Look, Nor! It's starting!" Lukas opened his eyes and looked up at the sky where Mathias was pointing. Across the starry sky the Northern Lights had come out, the colours shifting and waving like silken ribbons in the sky. Lukas stared up and watched them in awe. He'd never get over how truly beautiful they were to behold. He looked over at Mathias, who was entranced by the beautiful night show. Lukas leaned forward and gave him a quick kiss. The Dane blinked in surprise and pulled Lukas closer to him, drawing their lips together in a passionate, sweet kiss. When they pulled away they both were smiling. It truly was a magical night.
