I don't own Ben 10 characters.

*Maybe I'll steal more rubies in order to add them to my statues* Kuphulu thought. His eyes were still on the statue with the crocodile head.
He continued to admire rubies on the statue's arms and legs. Kuphulu heard footsteps in his lair. He turned his head. ''Why are you trespassing?'' he asked.

Crujo ran to Kuphulu. He saw his associate's wide eyes. ''Oh! Kuphulu!'' he exclaimed. Crujo began to glance over his shoulder.
''Good. Scout isn't following me any longer,'' he muttered. He turned to Kuphulu.

''I ran from Scout. He tried to arrest me after I almost took food in one of Anur Transyl's towns,'' Crujo said.

Kuphulu rolled his eyes. ''Why am I not shocked?'' he muttered. Kuphulu watched as Crujo tilted his head to one side in confusion. ''You always try to steal food, Crujo.''

''I'm going to remain here for some time. Maybe for a few days,'' Crujo said to Kuphulu. He viewed Kuphulu's eyes narrowing for a moment.

''You trespassed!'' Kuphulu said.

''So? You are a repeat offender, Kuphulu.''

''Very well. You can stay,'' Kuphulu muttered under his breath.

''Thanks. Maybe I'll stay until tomorrow,'' Crujo said.

''Do not break my statues,'' Kuphulu said.

''Statues?'' Crujo muttered. He saw two statues. After approaching them, he touched a statue's ankle due to curiosity. *Interesting rubies* Crujo thought.

Kuphulu's eyes widened. ''Don't touch the statues! They are valuable.'' Kuphulu had second thoughts about Crujo remaining in his lair.

Crujo stepped back before he stretched. ''I'm exhausted,'' he said. He collapsed near a statue and closed his eyes.

Kuphulu fell asleep by another statue. Hours went by before he opened his eyes. He saw the empty area where Crujo rested. He shrugged.
*I guess Crujo is in his lair now. No. Crujo is probably stealing food again* he thought.

Kuphulu wandered into town. *It's time to add more rubies to my collection* he thought. Kuphulu walked to a jewelry shop. He turned his head after he heard footsteps. He recognized Scout. ''Why are you here?'' he asked while his eyes narrowed.

''Are you going to steal rubies again, Kuphulu?'' Scout asked.

Kuphulu never replied. He recalled fleeing from Scout days ago. At least Scout never arrested him. At least he was able to put rubies on a statue. Kuphulu turned and ran. *I am not going to prison* he thought.

Kuphulu glanced over his shoulder while Scout followed him. *I didn't steal anything YET!* he thought. He ran into a cave before he was near Crujo. Kuphulu gasped. *I'm in Crujo's lair?* He glanced back again. At least Scout was not present.

''Are you fleeing from Scout?'' Crujo asked.

''Yes,'' Kuphulu muttered. He wandered within the cave before he saw Scout with Crujo. Kuphulu's eyes became bigger another time.

Crujo snarled at the memory of Kuphulu yelling at him for trespassing hours ago. He focused on Scout. ''Are you still going to arrest me for trying to steal food earlier?'' Crujo asked.

Scout nodded. ''Is Kuphulu here?'' he wanted to know.

Crujo looked back. He faced Scout before he nodded. He pointed at Kuphulu. ''My associate is there,'' Crujo said.

Kuphulu gasped.

''My associate is also a trespasser,'' Crujo said to Scout.

''That's good to know. I can arrest Kuphulu for trespassing,'' Scout muttered.
