Okay, how awesome was Hardwired? Aside from that retarded 'adult/child relationships are perfectly normal' bs, it was a great episode! Lots of EO fluff 'n stuff! It was actually a little scene between El and Liv that made me write this. When Elliot stays overnight across the street, Olivia shows up the next morning with coffee and calls him Sunshine. How adorable was that? Beautiful! So enjoy, and please remember to review!

SVUSVUSVUSVUSVUSVUSVU
If Elliot Stabler was anything, he was protective.
He was protective of his children, of victims, of his family and friends, and of his partner.
Olivia smiled as she carried a tray of coffee down the sidewalk. Even during their toughest cases, when no one slept and everyone was on edge, she was still able to appreciate how protective he was. Just as he was being right now. He had just spent the entire previous night parked outside of an apartment building, trying to protect an innocent little boy from being molested by his stepfather.
It was just the kind of man he was. He was fiercely loyal, protective, unselfish and loving. Loving. Even though they had almost divorced, he had still gone back to his wife when she announced that she was pregnant again. His family came first, and she wasn't part of that, no matter how badly she wanted to be. She had always looked for a family to be part of, and while SVU was very much a family, it wasn't quite the same. And deep down, if she was being truly honest, she wanted to be part of his family. He was the only family she had ever really known, and by farthest the longest relationship she'd ever had with a man.
But that had little to do with it. It was something about him, something that touched her deeply, that made her hold onto him with everything she had. Even on the worst days, when she thought about quitting SVU and leaving the depravity of New York, it was him that kept her there. He kept her tethered to sanity, and she loved him.
But because he was married, because he had a whole other life in which she had no place, she could never tell him that the sun and moon rose with him. Her entire world revolved around him, because he was her world. It was the thought of him that got her out of bed every morning, and it was his smile that she saw every night before she fell into a deep sleep.
And maybe it was because of him that she could never seem to make a relationship work. Because every time she was alone with a man, she couldn't help comparing him to Elliot. His smile, his laugh, his eyes... God, Elliot had the most incredible eyes she had ever seen. And not a single man she had been with could compare to the way Elliot treated her.
And she couldn't have him.
She stepped off of the curb and tapped on his window, then opened the door with a wide smile. "Morning, sunshine." She handed him the tray of coffee and tried to breathe.
He really was her sunshine, after all.
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know, dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away
The End.
A/N: How cute? Tee hee. And how exciting did last week's ep look? I think we're going to get some MASSIVE EO stuff, and how great would it be if Elliot got all jealous and tried to beat Porter? Fantastic. Here's hoping we do get all that and more! Thanks for reading, and please remember to review!
