She watched him, hidden in the shadows of her silver hair, his fair face lit with mirth as he dashed the waves in his stormy delight. Starlight came shimmering through the gently rolling waters, translucent and limpid save where Ossë came in thunderous joy.

Uinen slipped out of the smooth shroud of hair, walking on the bottom sands. Strong arms seized her, grey eyes, wild and young, met hers, as Ossë pleaded with her to dance with him. Uinen grasped his hands as they fled upwards, breaking the surface, their heads thrown back to gaze at the white jewels in the dark azure of the skies.

Gentle Ossë reproached her for avoiding him, tracing the diadem of water pearls on her forehead, but Uinen smiled serenely and shook her head.

Slowly the waters calmed about them as they spoke, returning to placid clarity, gentle blue rolling on in the stars.

Love was in their hearts and on their minds, the sweet ecstasy of silent love as they stood in the waves, his arms encircling her, her hands on his shoulders, lost in each other's eyes.
