Disclaimer: Sadly, I do not own Doctor who :'(

Last Words.

Dead. On the floor. The body of a creature. It could be anything, anyone. But it's always there. Right at the end. After he's won, triumphed. Not everybody wins. He knows this more than anyone. Because, there's always someone, right at the end. Not everybody lives. Not today, not most days. Not when he's around. Someone. Always. Dies. Always.

He's run so far, saved so many, but not everyone. Never everyone. And really, he knows deep down, refuses to admit it, but it's always there: not everybody lives. Not all the time.

And then there's a groan, silent to his raging anger, and it's the thing, the creature, on the floor. Dying. Calling him. Last words, 'Doctor'.
