The Diadem

I am Great Ravenclaw's tiara, aged and magnificent,

My splendour renowned, I am erudite and transcendent.

I belonged to a mother, intelligent and wise,

Was stolen by a daughter, jealous and sly.

I was taken to a forest, lost and forgotten,

Then found by a man who was venomous and rotten.

I was made into a Horcrux, defiled and tainted,

And hidden in junk, unbecoming and degraded.

I was mishandled by a boy both misguided and rash,

And misused as a marker, clumsy and crass.

I saw a fight between six, reckless and distasteful,

And upon me shone fire.

Once more,

I was beautiful.
