beautiful hangover
(just let the rum flow and please, just please don't stop the music
maybe then, we'll be able to forget, just for one night.)
.
"just keep pouring the rum, and fucking up your lives."
She dances, and she won't stop dancing and he won't stop staring and Roxas wonders where he fits in this entire mess. There is blood on the dance floor, tonight and rum is overflowing the cups, lights are dancing; the drugs are starting to make the world, shine.
And he wonders how she could be perfectly fine with that.
But most of the time, he wonders why she won't stop dancing, because no one can dance that much in sea of regrets and alcohol.
.
"this is nothing but a dance hall drug."
If Axel keeps watching the girl, he thinks he might be going mad, but it isn't his fault that she reminds him of so many other girls, but mostly the girl he met a long time ago with Roxas, the girl with dark hair and blue eyes who bears much of a resemblance to her.
And if he didn't know any better, Axel would say that he was in love with the girl, but he says he was in love with her, because that pretty pretty girl is dead. And he doesn't even know how she's dead; all he knows is Roxas and his whispers of, "She's dead."
Then there was nothing more. So Axel keeps staring at the girl, and watches her dance, before getting up and walking towards her.
.
"please don't stop the music."
She dances.
And then she sees this beautiful boy come up to her, with the prettiest green eyes ever and red hair that's brighter than any flame; she wonders where she has seen this boy, before because he is so familiar and so strange, full of unspoken promises that she just wants to forget.
Then he extends his hand and everything is blurry.
And she doesn't know whether it's from the alcohol or him.
He kisses her not a second later, and she could see old memories because she doesn't mind being kissed to forget, because she has done that many times too. Sometimes she knocks on the door, and kisses the boy Roxas, because he looks like him, and she looks like her— so they kiss and when its morning she's gone, and sometimes he's gone before her and she's wrapped in an empty bed.
But that was a long time ago, and Roxas doesn't see her, anymore— so she dances. Because then, she might be able to forget.
Then he breaks the kiss (and the magic goes away) then he walks away, and all she wishes for is a name.
.
"baby, you are my beautiful hangover."
The next morning they wake up, and wonder if that entire night as a dream.
.
the end
