A/N: Hey peeps. Notice I'm not that happy or...fun, today, writing this AN? Well, it's cause this story isn't happy. Or fun. Well, it is, but not this part you are about to read. Anyway, I'll say now, cause my sister, my friend, and SnowyRainxXx, and xSnowxBirdx, and my other friend, and my boyfriend all thought that the SJ in this was from the Blind Side. It's NOT!! I just recently saw that movie, and that name has been in my head for the past week and a half, so I'm using it. Got it? I'll keep saying it every chapter, if I have to!! Don't think I wont, dude. Don't! Okay, we good? Kay. Thanks. Haha. Anyway, I own nothing, except the plot...and in a way, SJ...and Sam's dad...but, yeah. That's it.
This is a cross-over. Not so much in the beginning, but definitely in later chapters.
Italic is flashback. The first flashback is kind of confusing, but in chappie two, it'll make things clear.
There is a warning for mention of sexual abuse, but nothing graphic. Thanks(:
R&&R please? I'd looove you if you reviewed!! :D
Sam sat in Carly's living room, watching T.V. and eating ham, the usual Saturday night routine. Except, something felt…different. Well, to Sam, something felt different. What? She had no idea. Getting up to put the rest of the ham in the fridge, Carly was coming out of the kitchen.
"Hey, Sam, come check this out!" She called from the couch. "It's about another case!" Sam dropped everything she was doing. Lately, and nobody really can understand why, but there has been quite a lot of abuse cases around Seattle. Nobody understood why.
"Who's it on, now?" Sam asked, joining her friend on the couch. Carly shrugged.
"Dunno. This one's on sexual abuse, though." She didn't notice Sam stiffen.
"Uh, mind if I…uh, go take a shower? You know, had P.E. today...haven't been home since 8 am. Kinda smelly...Woo! Get a whiff of those puppies!" She stood up, heading for the hallway, waiting for her best friend's approval. Even though, she can do whatever she wants here. It's like a second home to her.
"Ewe, you're so gross. Go, shower, now!" Carly laughed, slightly, before turning her attention back to the television. Sam quickly ran towards the bathroom, slamming the door closed. Why did she keep this huge secret from her best friend? Because, she wasn't her real best friend. Her real best friend was a boy she hadn't seen since the second grade. A boy she hadn't seen since she called the cops. A boy she hadn't seen since he had her father arrested.
The room was scary, at first. But, then again, she had never been in a police office. The people were nice, though. Especially Olivia. Sam liked her.
"So, Samantha, all you need to do is just answer some questions, okay?" She asked, nicely. Sam nodded.
"Alright. Well, first is why exactly are you here?"
"I called the cops."
"Why?"
"Because…because I heard screaming."
"Who was screaming? Your father?"
"No. SJ was." Olivia wrote something down.
"Okay. Why was he screaming, sweetheart?"
"Because. My daddy was trying to touch him."
"…Touch him?" Sam nodded. "How?"
"You know. Sexually." Olivia didn't make a move. She was used to it all. Mostly, though, it wasn't the kids best friend reporting it. It was a teacher, a neighbor, relative, or even the kid themselves. Not a seven year old kid's seven year old best friend. "Like…like…my mommy calls them 'No no' spots. Adults shouldn't touch kids there, she said."
"Samantha, she's right."
"SJ…" Sam mumbled, remembering all the trouble that poor kid went through. All because of her.
