"There he is! There's my sweet Baboo!" A high pitched, sugary sweet voice cried, rushing over to Linus.
Linus groaned. "I am not your sweet Baboo!" He protested.
"Don't be ridic-oo-lous!" Sally lisped, hugging him. Linus rolled his eyes, face tinted red.

As annoying as it was sometimes, Linus couldn't deny that he was... somewhat fond of the attention. Sally sure could be a charmer when she wanted to. She looked up at him, now, eyes like blue orbs. "You're gonna give me a real nice Valentine this year, aren't you Linus?" She asked.

"Why would I? It'd just give you the wrong idea," Linus said, but he couldn't help but feel that she already had the wrong idea. Sally pouted. "C'mooooon!"
"No."
"C'moooooon!"
"I said no, Sally."
Sally stuck her tongue out. Linus merely stuck his thumb in his mouth and turned away, clutching his blanket. Sally tugged at the blanket. "Augh!" Linus cried as she yanked the blanket away from him, making him fall. She's stronger than she looks, he thought. Sally smirked. "You're not so smart now, huh, sweet Baboo?" She teased. Now it was Linus' turn to pout. "Give it back!"
"No."
"Why not?"
"Oh, I don't know," Sally said, "it might just give you the wrong idea."

Linus glared. He grabbed hold of his blanket and pulled. Sally pulled, too, and soon the pair were engaged in a game of tug-of-war. Linus eventually got the blanket out of Sally's grip. He grinned.

"Big brother!" Sally wailed at Charlie Brown, who was passing by, "my sweet-and-sour Baboo is being mean to me! Slug him for me!"
"Huh?" Charlie Brown said.
"I didn't do anything, Charlie Brown. Sally's just being difficult," Linus retorted.
"Wha-?" Charlie Brown said.

"Say, what's going on here?" Lucy asked, approaching the trio.
"Sock my bittersweet Baboo, big brother! Really give it to him!" Sally said, nudging Charlie Brown towards Linus.
"Alright, I've heard enough! Put 'em up, Charlie Brown! C'mon, put 'em up!" Lucy said, assuming her fighting stance and advancing towards Charlie Brown.
"I'm always the last to know what's going on," Charlie Brown said. Lucy gave chase and he broke into a sprint, leaving Linus and Sally alone once more.

They stayed quiet for a few long moments, just glaring at each other. Then, Sally finally said, "I'll forgive you, Linus, if you apologize for being such a blockhead."
"If I apologize, will you leave me alone?" Linus asked. Sally nodded.
He sighed. "Fine. I'm sorry."
"Who's sorry?" Sally leaded.
"Ugh..."
"C'mon, say it!"
"Your sweet Baboo is sorry! Happy?"
Sally giggled. "Very," she hugged him once more, "and I'm sorry for calling you a sweet-and-sour Baboo."

Her hug didn't appear to be ending soon.

"You said you'd leave me alone once I said sorry," Linus said, attempting to pry her hands from his waist. Sally giggled again. "I was playing hard to get, silly!
"Playing hard to get?" Linus half-asked, half-groaned.
"Mm-hmm!" Sally replied, "So let's spend the rest of the afternoon together!"
"Doing what, exactly?" Linus asked.
"Um... y'know, doing couply things!"
"We're not even dating!" He said.
"Sweet Baboo, d-" She said.
"I am not your sweet Baboo!" He wailed.

A/N: This is... REALLY short, isn't it? Rest assured, any next fanfics will be much longer. This didn't really have a plot, after all.
Dedicated to my very own sweet Baboo.
