"Nuh uh!" Jacob yelled in Jasper's face. I could see the strain on my love's face as he tried to calm all around him, but he, too, was angry. The wolf had come over to see Bella with a clothespin on his nose first thing in the morning. After talking a little bit, they began discussing a very stupid topic; who was "Cooler": Vampires or werewolves. Because it involved the dog, I couldn't See who won. I was on the side of vampires because, well, I am one.

"I am despising stooping down to your level, but I simply must prove you wrong. In the literal sense, vampires are indeed much, ahem, "Cooler", for we are always "Cool", while a werewolf, like yourself, cannot feel cool by yourself. You rely on another's frigidness to, hehe, cool down."

Jacob looked bored, and, when Jasper finished his speech, blinked twice and screamed, "I DIDN'T MEAN LITERALLY!"

"Another good point," Jasper said dangerously calmly, as if he was about to lose sanity. "You see, we sparkle. We are, in a word, beautiful."

"Someone thinks highly of himself," he mumbled under his breath, forgetting that we could all hear.

"And you don't?" Edward said, appearing at the bottom of the stairs.

"Get the hell out of my head!" Jacob barked at him, but Edward simply smiled.

"We are beautiful, aren't we?" Bella asked, materializing next to him with Renesmee in her arms.

"Anyway," Jasper continued, "You are just big hairy fur balls, whilst we don't need to keep warm."

"What are you guys talking about?" Bella asked, walking over to them and plopping next to me on the couch.

"Which is cooler, a vampire or a werewolf," I replied, tickling Nessie under her chin.

"Vampires, obviously," Bella said, shrugging and handing the little girl over to me.

"See? This is where I am obliged to say I told you so!" Jasper said to Jacob.

"Yeah, 'cause that's all she ever knew! We're still better!"

After an hour of screaming between Jacob, Bella, Edward and Jasper and different points on how both sides were better, I finally got bored with the conversation and went outside to sit on the porch steps.
"Which do you like more, Ness-Ness?" I asked Nessie. She touched my cheek, showing me a picture of a tan-russet wolf. I sighed and turned my head to look back inside at the screech-fest.

Suddenly, I heard a loud high-pitched voice yell, "QUIET!" stretching the word out.

I stood up and turned to see Esme standing between Jacob and Jasper, who both looked like they were about to lose it. Jacob was twitching, as if avoiding turning into a wolf. Emmett and Rosalie were now in the room and they both looked stunned at Esme. Even Carlisle, who was sitting calmly and patiently on the couch, looked surprised at his wife.

"Thank you," Esme said calmly, chuckling at everyone's stunned expressions. "Now, why does it matter which is cooler? Just cut your bickering, okay? My ears are getting tired of it."

"Thank you, Esme," I said, stepping back inside.

"So who's thirsty?" Emmett asked, rubbing his hands together.
