Blake was sitting in the meeting hall. The top brass of the new faunus civil rights group had just left, leaving her alone with her thoughts. What am I even doing here? It has been ten years since the collapse of the White fang, and seven years since I've formed this group to help the faunus regain their rights. She let out a heavy sigh and slowly leaned back in her chair. But have we done enough to truly make a difference? Letting out another sigh, Blake stood up and began organising the scattered documents into their respective files.
She finished returning files into the appropriate cabinets she turned and left the room walking, down one of the many hallway, continuing with her train of thought. How could we be capable of achieving what the White fang could not? The same White fang that believed that discrimination could be resolved peacefully, And dreamed of a world filled with peace and equality. That dream had fallen from their ideals as soon as they abandoned their place as keepers of peace after the Faunus Rights Revolution, to a terrorist group that not only promoted violence but relied on the fear that was brought to their name as a result. What could have caused this drastic change in a group so dedicated to peace? She stopped and stared down the empty hallway, thinking back on the last meeting. now that I think about it this group that i have formed is starting to turn towards the path of violence as well, we all want to turn to violence humans and faunus alike. She continued down the hall and opened the door to her office. Her office was a medium sized room with a large oak desk in the center and a large maple chair set behind it. Book shelves lined the walls filled to the brim with books of various sizes and topics. She walked behind her desk noticing an envelope with her name on it, Who writes a letter anymore? Turning the letter over she immediately identified the wax seal of a burning rose. Ruby?
"...ke…lake…Blake!...Blake, wake up!"
Blake slowly opened her eyes expecting the morning sun to be in her eyes, noticing the lack of sunlight stinging her eyes she slowly sat up catching a few strands of long blonde hair on the edge of her view.
Turning to face her partner "Yang,Whatever it is you're planning to do at four in the morning..." meeting yang's expectant gaze with her own bored expression "...leave me out of it."
"What?!" Yang whisper yelled " but i haven't even asked you to help yet."
"We have been partners for nearly two years now, do you honestly believe i can't tell when you're about to ask me something?" Blake said flatly
Yang put her hands on her hips and let out a small sigh "Yeah I guess you're right about that, but still don't you want to hear the plan?" yang asked dropping one hand from her hip and looking back up at blake.
"You don't even need to explain it, i can tell you right now that this "plan of yours has three major flaws." Blake stated her expression still blank.
Yang raised an eyebrow "Oh, and what would those be?" she asked.
Blake turned to hide the smirk on her face "First off your plans often involve getting caught, second off this wasn't your plan, it was Ruby's, and finally you broke a golden rule…never wake the sleeping cat."
Yang rolled her eyes and smiled "of course how could I ever forget that rule?"
Blake turned her head to look over her shoulder "Now if you would kindly let me sleep."
