So, its HOA one shot day hooray! So here is my entry. To me personally this hasn't happened but I thought it would be a touching subject to do. So enjoy lovelies :)

Patricia's POV

Graduation day. A day where we can celebrate the end of an era with your friends and family. Of course my family will be there. Apart from someone. My Dad. Lieutenant Gary Ross Williamson. He has been serving in Afghanistan for over a year and a half, only making contact with him through brief Skype calls and letters. Its fair to say I'm quite close to my dad. He taught me many things such has how to ride a bike and how to swim. But most of all he taught me important life skills. He was my best friend. There for me when Mom was there for Piper. When he left to go serve his duty, I started to put the walls up. The walls that Eddie somehow managed to break down. But slowly, they are being rebuilt. I miss my dad so much. I just want him home.

-Line Break-

I'm already to graduate. I took my seat next to Eddie and stayed quiet.

"You alright Yacker?" I just simply nodded and turned to see if my Mom and Piper have arrived. Maybe my dad surprised us and returned home. I was wrong. Only Mom and Pips.

Soon enough, the ceremony started. One by one everyone went and received their diplomas. Of course, my last name beginning with 'W' I was the last to receive mine. I got up to the stage and Mr Sweet handed me the certificate. I was about to leave the stage when he called me back.

"Before we end the ceremony I have a little something to say" Mr Sweet started.

"Today we are missing a very special guest. Miss Williamson's Father. Lieutenant Gary Williamson. Gary is currently serving our country out in Afghanistan and is unable to make it to this very important occasion. I would like for Miss Williamson to say a few words" God, he made it sound like a funeral! But I simply nodded and walked up to the podium. I wondered for a minute on what I was going to say.

"My dad is my best friend. He actually knows me better than anyone in this room. He taught me everything I needed to know. I still remember him trying to teach me how to ride a bike when I was 4" I started to tear up a little. "I miss my dad. I mean I know I've been away from home but at least there, he is only a phone call away. I just wish he would come home and be safe" I looked down at all the notes and papers on the podium, not daring to meet eye contact with anyone. I suddenly heard a lot of gasps and whispers. I looked up. I couldn't believe what I saw.

"Daddy?"

I instantly ran off the stage and into my dads arms. I started sobbing tears of joy into his shoulder. I felt Piper and Mom join in on the family reunion. Claps filled the hall but all I could think was that my dad was back. Safe and sound.

Crying right now? I am! I hope you liked it though! Byee :)
