Anko was always far away and distant. She trusted no one. She respected no one. She loved no one. She was defiantly not quiet but her loud mouth made up for her distance. No one knew how far away she felt. But her hero came in the form of the snake sannin, Orochimaru. He brought her out of the alone, out of the far away. "A quality or feeling of strong or constant affection for and dedication to another," defined the dictionary. But to Anko it was something different. To Anko it was a feeling of warmth, a feeling of belonging, an emotion unexplainable… love… Finally she trusted someone, respected someone, loved someone.
But he had lied. He had abandoned her and a new emotion appeared in place of love. Hate. Yes, it was true that Anko had never loved before he came, but she never hated anyone either. It was such a strong emotion. The dictionary had said it was,"A strong dislike and ill will." And the dictionary was correct. That was exactly what the so-called emotion hate was. Anko didn't have any respect for people who hated with out reason. There had to be a reason, otherwise it would have no point. She had a reason. She hated that he had lied to her. She hated the way he treated her like dirt. She hated the way that when he talked to her, it actually made her feel as if she actually longed for him.
"Face it Anko, you can't forget about him. You miss him. You long for him," one of her comrades had once said to her. Anko was not sweet, and was not caring. She could care less if her comrade's face would have bruises and cuts for the next month. She did as she felt. And right now, she felt like slapping her comrade. So she simply did. "I don't miss him, and I defiantly don't long for him," hissed Anko before walking away. She trusted him, she respected him, she loved him, and he… he just used her! Of course she hated him.
She saw him again. She swore she would kill him, but failed. Yet another failure. He had activated her wretched cursed mark that he had bestowed on her when she had still loved him. He had escaped. "You were my hero, but you abandoned me," she muttered. But of course, he did not hear.
Her emotions once again changed. Fear… She feared his scent, his golden snake like eyes. She feared that she would forgive him; she feared that she would give in. She feared the way he smirked and she just plain feared him. Fear… If you look it up in the dictionary it would say, "An unpleasant, often strong emotion caused by expectation or awareness of danger." But it was even more. It haunted her. She couldn't sleep without thinking about him. She couldn't walk, or eat, talk or fight without thinking about him. Every step she took made her more afraid. That was fear.
Love… Hate… Fear… Emotions all used and wasted on him… Orochimaru…
