Written for the Trojan War Competition where I have to pair a male character with three female characters and write a story for each pairing. My male character is Lorcan and the three females are Dominique, Rose, and Lucy. The prompts I used were glitter, monarchy, courage, butterfly, and the implied setting of Hogwarts. Please enjoy and review

Dominique is the first but not the last.

She's sixteen and he's two years younger but it doesn't really matter to her because she can't stand boys her own age anyway- the last guy was twice her age and at least this is a bit more healthy (at least according to her parents but the last time she actually listened to them was ten years ago and she's regretted it ever since).

As for him, he could never quite be a hero- he doesn't have the courage, he was a Slytherin for a reason; but he wouldn't mind a run with the girls that they get.

He gets a reputation after he's seen going into her dormitory because Dominique Weasley is gorgeous and she might not be some popular, sleezy social butterfly but she's hard to forget. He's never quite the same after than first night because he's only fourteen and he's already talked about.

He wants to take charge of this school because now he's got a reputation and the girls love him and he wants to take over this monarchy but he wants to do it with her at his side.

She refuses. She tries to smooth it over with some bullshit about age and what it would do to her reputation if she was dating a fourteen year old (you see how it works? Screwing around is one thing but when you stick with them, it's another). It's a lie because she's a firm believer in 'age is just a number', she just doesn't want to stick with him because he intimidates her- at least that's what he thinks.

He never does find out why she leaves. She does it subtly and sometimes he forgets that she was ever there at all. She's nothing like her cousins, he'll later discover, and sometimes he's never even sure if they really dated. She was there and she changed his life and she was his first kiss, and that's all even if everyone else thinks something happened, but after he left her dormitory she never spoke to him again.

He figured Dominique would go out of his life with glitter and fireworks and gunshots or something else loud and chaotic but she just slunk out and it seemed hardly fair. He goes off with a different girl the next night but he never does forget her.
