Aileen's POV:

*riiing*

"Right class, get home nice and safe and always look twice before crossing the road. Have a nice weekend" Mrs Sherman chanted as the class filed out in their separate groups. I left the class last with my best friend ,Gezel who was blabbering on and on about her favourite topic, that dratted movie twilight.

"You're very silent" Gezel remarked.

"sorry I'm just not hopelessly in love with the one and only Edward Cullen" I teased as the giggled.

"He's soo attractive though" she said still fawning over him

"and he's an actor who is way older than you" I remarked snidely

"its true love" she yelped

"yeah yeah, well your brother's here so bye then" I said reaching towards her for a hug

"bye" she said as she ran off to the car

The rain poured down from the dark sky in Belgium as I trudged home from the hell hole they call school. I ran through everything I had to do when I finally reached my destination, "make dinner for the family, correct essay and write it, finish math problems and science que-" I ticked off my fingers.

A loud piercing crack of lightning struck in the dark, stormy sky. The lashing rain battered on my small body wrapped in my thin jacket. I shivered violently. Freezing in the thin measly clothes I had.

Another crack of lightning struck. This time right in front of me. I let out a panicked scream and bolted backwards running for all I was worth. Blinking rain out of my eyes I manged to spot a glow of lights in the distance. I ran furiously towards the lights, the closer I approached I realised, it was a house.

A tall white, structure lay there, the golden lights shining out of it. I didn't have enough time to take in the beauty of the house as I ran up the front steps and banged on the door. I wrapped my arms around my body and rubbed myself to create friction to warm me up, as I waited and hoped for someone to open the door. It seemed hours till the door was finally opened. A tall blond man opened the door.

"H-Hello, please may I stay here a b-bit, until the storm subsides?" I stuttered

"Of course, come right in" The man said

I took one shaky step towards the house, then my eyes rolled to the back of my head and the world went black.

Faintly hearing the man call out to someone deep in the house.

Carlise's POV:

I was relaxing, Esme snuggled in my arms as we watched "Captain America" with the rest of the family.

I was surprised to hear a knock at the door, in this weather. I walked carefully to the door trying not to step on any of my papers.

I reached the door and opened it, surprised to see a slight of a girl who could only be about 13 or 14.

She stood there chattering and asked with her teeth drumming against each other if she could have refuge for the night. I quickly allowed her and stepped aside for her to walk in, when she took a small step and her eyes went into the back of her head and she fainted clean away. I quickly called to Esme as I picked the girl up, she weighed extremely light. Too light. Esme was by my side in 3 seconds and quickly took in the sight.

"I'll run a bath now" she said rushing to the bathroom

"I carried her to the bathroom and let Esme take care of it from there.

I went to inform the rest of the family who were falling off the edge of their seats in curiosity and confusion.
