It as been about a week since Jean Grey as been living at the institute. She still did not have complete control over her telekinesis. But her lack of controls over her telekinesis was nothing compared to the meagre control she had over her telepathy.
Every night it was the same, she heard everyone's thoughts, dreams and nightmares, but sometimes if the person had a strong thought she would feel what they feel.
Every night Jean would try to block the thoughts and feelings out with the best of her abilities, but she never succeeded. Even though she failed she never gave up,she believed that one day she would have complete control overher mutations, andthat
she would be able to sleep in peacewith no ones thoughts to disturb her.
Like every other night Jean layed in bed and listened to the thoughts while drifting of to sleep. Then suddenly, she was hit with a feeling of hate, betrayal, sadness and pain. She knew that these feelings were not her own and she felt the need to help
thisperson.
She tried to figure out who these horrible feelings were comingfrom, but she was being partially blocked out. Curious as ever, Jean decided that instead of reaching out to the person mentally she would follow the feelings and seek the person out.
The female telepath concentrated hard onwhere the feelings were coming from. Slowly and stealthily, she climbed out of bed and walked out of her room and made her way down the hallway. She wandered around for a few moments, until she reached the oneroom
in the whole mansion thatthe professor had forbidden anyone from entering.
No one knew what was in the room or who's room it was. And if someone knew about the room they refused to speak of it.
Jean, being a telepath, it was in her nature that shewas curious about everything. Hoping that curiosity didn't kill the cat, Jean slowly and as quiet as possible opened the door.
Peering into the room, Jean saw something that had shaken herto the very core.
