Cassie anxiously shifted from foot to foot, and bit her lip. Currently the team was in full costume, and was in "pursuit" of a supervillian.
"C'mon guys! We're gonna miss him!" Cassie said loudly.
"Eh, I don't really care." Billy said. He casually leaned against the wall of a building, and played with his cape. Still looking down, he said: "What kind of supervillain names themselves 'Commander Kinkajou' anyway? I mean, really…"
"Yeah…but, still! A supervillian is a supervillan." Cassie said stubbornly. She leaned against Vision's side and began to pout.
"But all he can do is command kinkajous!" Teddy said. "He's a D-list villain…at best." He went over to lean against the wall with his boyfriend. He leaned down and whispered something in Billy's ear. Billy nodded in return and closed his eyes, and began to mutter words laced with magic. No sooner had he finished, a Rubik's cube popped up in Teddy's hand. He began to fiddle with it.
"Yes, but what if they are…um…rabid? Or giant Atomic kinkajous!" Vision said, trying to back Cassie up.
"Uh huh…. Keep trying, Vision." Kate said with a smile.
"I really don't care either way, but whatever we decide, can it be quick? I have a huge assignment due tomorrow. And unless I want to flunk history, I'd better finish it." Eli said.
"Eh, I'm bored. Let's just catch this wannabe supervill." Tommy said, eyes focusing on possible things he could blow up. He was bored after all.
Recognizing that gleam in Tommy's eye, Billy quickly said: "Err-I agree with Tommy. Let's just get this over with." He starting walking towards Cassie, Teddy following suit.
"Wait a second!" Tommy exclaimed. Billy turned around to face him.
"What now? I thought you wanted to go." Billy said with a frown.
"I do. But I have a question…what are kinkajous?"
"A small omnivorous mammal indigenous to Central America and South America." Vision answered.
"Ah. How…uninteresting. Alright, let's go." Tommy said in a rather bored voice.
"Finally!" Cassie exclaimed. She shrunk down to about the size of a mouse. Vision picked her up and put her on his shoulder, and began flying towards Commander Kinkajou. Teddy shifted to 'Hulkling' mode, and unfolded his green leathery wings, following Cassie and Vision. Billy began muttering, "I need transportation, I need transportation, I need transportation…" Until a large blue disk of magic energy appeared beneath his feet, allowing him to hover. He extended his hand to Eli, who in turn grabbed it and jumped on the hovering magic energy, bringing Kate with him. They hovered quickly behind Teddy. Tommy ran, quickly gaining the lead.
After about five minutes of running/flying/hovering, they reached the street where, in the middle of it, Captain Kinkajou stood. He wore a tan hood-mask thing, with little brown ears and black goggle lens in place of eye holes. He was mildly buff, wearing a tan skin-tight jumpsuit (with a tan tail), and brown gloves and boots. "So… there are those who would dare face the dreaded Commander Kinkajou!?" He through his head back and laughed manically.
"Jeez, this guy clichéd much?" Teddy whispered to Billy, who in turn laughed quietly.
"Nice name." Vision said with a smirk. Cassie hopped off Vision's shoulder and grew to her normal size.
"Although I'm not exactly sure how 'dreaded' you are." Cassie said.
"Fine then. Let's see you wisecrack to the faces of my giant atomic/rabid kinkajous!" Frowning, Commander Kinkajou waved his hand. The ground began to shake as a horde of gigantic kinkajous came into view, some of them foaming at mouth, all of them glowing green.
"Way to jinx us, Vision." Billy whispered.
"I will apologize profusely later, as for now...it seems we will be busy."
Wow, it's been ages since I posted a fanfic… I hope this didn't end too abruptly. ^_^;;
Anyway, I really hoped you enjoy this, and comments are lovely!
