I was listening to my iPod--and i've gotten this obession with Twilight, the song made me think of Bella and Edward!

Set during New Moon when Edward leaves, and when they get reunited again

The sun was setting, twilight, the most meaningful time of day to someone like Edward. But now the days seemed to drag on even more than they used to. He was no longer with Bella—he knew it was the right thing to do, but he couldn't possibly feel any worse! His… existence meant nothing to him anymore without her, the only thing keeping him going were his memories. The way she smelled, her sweet smile, the way she would laugh nervously whenever he did something that surprised her—everything about her he loved.

This was why he had to leave. He would never be able to stand himself if he ever did anything to hurt her, his Bella.

I wanted you to know that I love the way you laugh
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain away
I keep your photograph
I know it serves me well
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain

He couldn't stand to be away from her but he had no choice.

She couldn't bear this, the pain, she didn't feel like herself anymore, but she knew she couldn't change anything.

'Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away

You're gone away, Oh

You don't feel me here, anymore

He had been sure to get rid of the evidence; anything that could directly remind her of him was under her floorboards. To her it would be like he never existed.

Bella felt the hole disappear as she realized who was before her. She could hardly believe it—he was back! She didn't care if he didn't love her anymore--at the moment—he was here. For the first time in a long time, Bella felt… whole.

The worst is over now and we can breathe again
I wanna hold you high, you steal my pain away
There's so much left to learn, and no one left to fight
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain

'Cause I'm broken when I'm open
And I don't feel like I am strong enough
'Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away
