OPENING AUTHOR'S NOTE:
So, before we get started, let me just say a big hello and welcome to the 'new and improved' version of my former 'junk collection' where I will be posting ideas both old and new, some as challenge responses while others are odd little moments of inspiration that have hit me.
Also be aware that some old ideas I couldn't continue for one reason or another will also be in this new 'collection' and any and all of them are available to be adopted if they catch anyone's eye.
Unlike a friend of mine, I will only be posting the start/first chapter/prologue of any ideas I add to this collection and if I decide to continue them, I'll be sure to let you all know, but at the end of the day, all this really is for me is a 'notepad' where my spare ideas are stored because I need them on paper if nothing else.
So, enjoy the Diaries' contents and have fun with the fun and games on show.
Thanks

Page Break
And now, for the first idea, one that did sound weird, hence why I junked it, but the start has a bit of an interesting theme that, who knows, one day, I might explore, but, for now, it serves as the first instalment to the Diaries, so enjoy;
Day One: Path of the Chosen One
"There's no mistake: I checked the results three-times over…you're pregnant, Lady Potter…congratulations…"
When Lily Alexandra Potter, once known as Lily Evans, received the news that she was going to be a Mother, so many emotions ran through her mind that she actually felt like she was going to collapse from the mental as well as the emotional strains.
Disbelief: she…she was going to have a baby?
Pride: she was going to be a Mum!
Worry: could she be as good and supporting a Mother as her dear Muggle parents had been to her?
Hope: please, Merlin, let him or her be a healthy, happy little witch or wizard.
Delight: she was going to be able to have the family she'd always dreamed of!
However, over all these feelings, there was one that unnerved and concerned Lily most of all; an emotion that gnawed away at the tiny spot in her belly where her future son or daughter was currently growing, their life in her hands and her health.
An emotion that made Lily feel more than just the previously-mentioned emotions as she considered it;
Fear!
And that was fear because of the thought that ran through her mind as she stood outside the door to her husband's ancestral home, one hand clutching at her stomach while the other held tightly to a parchment that indicated the results of the scan that had given her the news.
And that thought was, 'How can I be pregnant? James and I haven't even had sex yet…'
Path of the Chosen One
"Pregnant?"
When she heard the exclamation of surprise and disbelief from her husband, Lily closed her eyes tightly, half-expecting him to start yelling and cursing because he knew the same thing she did. She'd never really been one for being in an abusive relationship, and neither was James for that matter, but when he got angry, she knew better than to try and force him to hold it back.
And with something as personal as this, Lily half-expected something along the lines of a Marauder prank or even a curse to her occupied womb in a fit of sheer rage and fury brought on by the impossible revelation.
However, to Lily's shock, the next thing she heard wasn't a curse; instead, she snapped her eyes open when a cheer of immeasurable delight, ecstasy and pride flew from the lips of James Charles Potter. When Lily opened her eyes, she was both shocked and amused to see James jumping up and down, pumping a fist at the air while he crowed with delight at the news he'd just been given.
However, as if that wasn't enough for him, the young heir of the Most Ancient and Noble House of Potter then drew his wand before he fired several sparks into the air, all of which spelled out the same reason for his ecstatic delight;
I'M GOING TO BE A DADDY!
As Lily stared in disbelief and delight, James lowered his wand before, falling to his knees, he took hold of Lily's abdomen and kissed it warmly, nuzzling the cloth of her robe with affection as he whispered, "You grow up nice and strong for Daddy now, you hear? And don't you worry, little buck or doe…because Daddy will always be here for you. So you rest and grow for now…and I'll see you soon…oh Merlin…I…I need to contact Padfoot; he's never going to believe this. Oh, and I'd better get in touch with Dad…shit, I hope him and Mum aren't too busy and…"
"J-J-James?" Lily began, a small part of her wondering if she could actually tell him the truth; however, James seemed too lost in ecstasy and pride to hear her, let alone acknowledge the fact that might as well have been written in the same magical writing as his fireworks.
Instead, leaving Lily to her own devices, James made straight for the Floo Gate, leaving Lily stunned, disbelieving and worried, but even with those emotions running through her, she couldn't help but smile.
Once a Marauder of a little kid, always a Marauder of a little kid…just one of the reasons she'd fallen in love with him to begin with.
But that still left a question hanging in the air.
Looking down at her belly, Lily sniffed once before she cradled her abdomen, a small smile touching her lips as she whispered, "How are…how did you…how did I…where did you come from, sweetheart?"
If she expected an answer, she was going to be sorely-disappointed, although there was one thing Lily knew;
However it was this had happened, the fact of the matter was it had happened; she was going to be a Mummy and James was going to be a Daddy.
As much as she wanted to solve the mystery, Lily knew she had a more-important task to take care of; making sure her future son or daughter grew up to become the greatest, sweetest, most-innocent and loving spirit of magic he or she could be.
And, as far as she was concerned, even that was more-important to Lily than figuring out how, exactly, she'd become pregnant with the future Heir or Heiress of the Most Ancient and Noble House of Potter.
Caressing her belly fondly, Lily smiled softly as she whispered, "It's okay, baby…soon, you will know you are safe, strong and loved…always…"
All-righty then, so we have the first instalment complete and an idea that, personally, I think is interesting and can go so many ways.
Also, let me say that the idea for the 'conception' of our hero was more inspired by Star Wars and everyone's favourite hero-turned-Sith-Lord-turned-hero-again, NOT the place people thought it had come from.
Anyway, let's close the book on this idea and move on to the next
Day One: End of Entry
