1 The unexpected letter
AN:We don't own any of these characters but Lily's father. J.K.Rowling owns the character's lily and petunia. O yeah. Sorry bout the title. Please review and help us with a good title.
Lily ran down the corridor towards the kitchen, clutching an envelope with green curly writing on it.
"Mum! Dad! I've got a letter! Quick come read it."
She ran up to the breakfast table and shoved the letter into her father's hands. Her dad read the letter. It said,
'Miss Lily Jamison has been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. We are pleased to inform you that Miss Lily Jamison is a witch. She needs to be at the station platform 9 and ¾ at 10:30 on Sunday 1st of September with all the things listed below.'
There was a list, which consisted of things like a wand.
"Is this a joke Lily?" asked her father.
"No dad it's not, look there's something else in the bottom." Her dad picked up the envelope and took out another piece of parchment and read it slowly and carefully. When he finished, he nodded his head, folded the paper back up and slipped it back into the envelope.
"I need to go on a trip today. To Diagon alley and I'm going to take my wonderful witch with me.
Lily's sister, Petunia, sat there watching as her dad spun Lily around, smiling. Petunia was not smiling.
In the afternoon Lily's dad took her hand and led her out to the car.
"Why are we going to Diagon alley dad?" asked Lily.
"To get you everything off of that list. You looking forward to that?"
Lily nodded. Her dad still treated her like a little girl, not like an eleven year old but this afternoon, she couldn't care less.
