Another long day. Ivan sighed as he adjusted his scarf, closing a fake leather bound binder and slipping some papers into a folder. The Russian man knew his schedule and was well aware that, because of the copious amounts of paper work, that he would be let out late but come on, it was almost 1am! He had places to be and Americans to do goddammit! Being 1am, no cabs were out, he had to walk home. Great. Honestly all Ivan wanted to do when he got home was crash in a heap next to his boyfriend. Alfred. His Alfred. No one knew how Alfred one Ivan's affections over, maybe it was that stupid smile, or those big blue eyes. The Russian entered their shared apartment quietly, hoping not to wake the American up.

Fly me to the moon

And let me play among the stars

Just as soon as he had unlocked the door had he heard the faint tune that was all too familiar to him. The large man hung up his scarf, only to be greeted with a pair of jacket-clad arms wrapping around his torso.

"Hello, Alfred"

"Hey yourself, what are you doing home so late?"

"Why are you up so late"

Alfred was silent for a moment. "HEY I ASKED YOU FIRST!"

Ivan sighed, pecking the blonde's forehead "Work."

"Dude its totally lame of them, why don't you quit or something?" That was a question he asked far too often. They both knew the answer. An awkward silence hovered over the pair. After about a minute, Alfred began swaying, arms still wrapped around his Russian lover.

Let me see what Spring is like

On Jupiter and Mars

The blonde nuzzled his head in the nape of the, still swaying. The Russian grabbed his hands and twirled him around so the two could face each other. They were an odd couple, a loud, energetic and borderline ignorant and a somewhat terrifying, shy Russian bear, but somehow it worked out (despite the weekly argument and or screaming fit.)It was almost 2am, but the two just held onto each other, swaying gently in the living room.

In other words, hold my hand

In other words, darling, kiss me

Fill my heart with song

And let me sing forevermore

Alfred snaked his arms around Ivan's neck as Ivan had his hands resting on the younger man's waist.

"I have to go in soon, we should- "Ivan was shut up by the American's man's lips meeting his. The kiss was tender yet passionate.

"Just call in sick."

"but- "

"No buts, just stay here with me." Ivan knew that Alfred always got what he wanted in these situations. Fighting with him would just waste time. The Russian let out a sigh.

"fine, but only tomorrow."

"Hell yeah dude!" Alfred kissed Ivan's cheek. The Jones- Braginski household was quiet despite the faint sounds of the song.

You are all I long for

All I worship and adore

In other words, please be true

In other words, I love you
